    I bought 2 and surprisingly one of them ends a little earlier than the other. You hold the top part steady, unscrew the bottom tube, adjust it to the desired length, and then tighten it by turning it to the right. If you want to shorten it again, hold the top tube steady, unscrew the bottom one, push it in completely, and tighten it. With the second test, the "issues" started, it unscrews on its own so I forget about the long length and I will come up with a solution to keep it permanently in the short length because it turns inside itself and doesn't clean the water well - disappointment, therefore.
