The old man Strepsiades tries to learn from a sophist teacher a way to avoid paying his debts, until he ends up setting fire to Socrates' school. A critique of the innovative methods of the sophists and Socrates, which, according to Plato, contributed to the distortion of the truth about the personality of the great philosopher.
