Having an old silk-epil, this one is definitely quieter and faster with less pain. However, hair removal is not done without some pain, so you can't call it painless. It is positive that it works without a cord, but it is negative that it does not work with a cord if, for example, you have forgotten to charge it. The shaving heads it has say that they need frequent replacement, like changing a razor, so it is an additional expense that if you are not willing to do or cannot find replacements, cancels out the feature.

  I have been using silk epil for many years!
  For the first time, the hairs grow back inside the skin.
  I can't understand what's wrong..
  Beautiful device though!
  The light helps, as well as the fact that it is rechargeable.
  With one charge, I definitely remove hair from armpits-bikini-legs twice.
  Also, I should add that I bought it from a well-known store for 62.00€ about two weeks ago.

  It’s the worst purchase in my life… I’m so much in pain and there are no results at all. I cannot understand why other people rated this with a 5 star and commented that it is one of the best machines. If you want to save money & not get yourself in so much pain just DO NOT BUY IT. .

  Quite good! I had older models before and this one is much more advanced as it doesn't require a power outlet during use, it removes hair faster and the result lasts longer. Obviously, you feel a little pain.. It's not something that can be avoided, but it's minimal.

  I had a silk epil 3 for many years, so the upgrade to the 9 made a huge difference. Less noise, the hair removal time was reduced by less than half, and I notice that the hairs come out softer and don't grow back as much. It's definitely worth its money, especially when combined with the extra attachments.
