Today I will tell you a story that happened... where else... in Denekedoupoli! And who doesn't know the little tin city, there at the edge of the landfill... That they built empty, rusty, old tin cans... that were found with nothing of their own and said: Let's build a city where we can live on our own and have our peace;
They said it and they did it. And here it is now, Denekedoupoli, with its square, its houses and its tin residents with strange names: Sardelas, Militsa, Voutyrenios, Sophos, Melenios...
But let's start the story from the beginning.
Last year, the tin cans decided to build a school. Indeed! A real school, very sturdy, that the first gust of wind and the first heavy rain wouldn't demolish. That's why they would build it with stones, bricks and cement. And they would also build a nice roof with tiles.
And why do we need the school? asked Voutyrenios, who was lazy to work.
Sophos answered him that the tin cans needed to learn letters, because whoever knows how to read understands better what is happening around them and doesn't suffer like they had suffered so many times in Denekedoupoli. All the tin cans agreed with Sophos. And the dreams for the school began.
