Beautiful, high-quality, and sturdy boot with good protections. While riding on the bike, they are comfortable and do not slip. However, they are difficult to walk in. They are heavy and stiff. They have a slightly above-normal bulk at the front and back, which makes them even more uncomfortable to walk in, especially if you have to go up and down stairs. Also, the internal protections for the ankles, at least for my feet, do not sit in the right places or are perhaps small in size, resulting in discomfort and not being able to tighten them properly. Finally, I must mention that they are purely a spring boot. They can be worn in summer and winter only on good days and with appropriate socks for the season, of course.
I have experience with this type of footwear, mainly from the company TCX (which was acquired by DAINESE), so I have developed some personal truths and I can also make comparisons...
As soon as I put on the Arrow, I felt it was stiff... I walked for about 15 minutes and it killed me, of course it was a loose fit but still, it caused blisters on both of my heels, and 3 out of my 10 toes were hurting...
The casing is generally very, very hard and in my case, it urgently needs intervention from a cobbler. If I tighten them a little more by accident, we're done for, my toes go numb and the sole burns... Fortunately, air passes through the holes while it has a very good anti-slip sole.
I will return with an edit at the end of September after the visit to the cobbler and using it for a month straight.
It is sturdy construction. Reinforcement on the fingers and heel. Protection on the ankles. Leather! Good breathability and very stylish!!!
Relatively comfortable for walking (they are sturdy) and good fit.
Durability over time will show... They are worth their price and more!
I wear them more often than the corresponding version that does not have the mesh with the holes to breathe. Safety and comfort. Cool even in 40+ degrees heat in Athens.
Extremely comfortable motorcycle boots with Ortholite insoles! They are comfortable to walk in without causing fatigue and at the same time they are sturdy, with ankle protection. I have used them in the city with a scooter. They are not waterproof, but they don't let air through and they have a great feel while riding. I have had them for 6 months and I have enjoyed them!
UPDATE 16/10/2023 - 2 years of use: the boots continue to be excellent in every aspect, except for one drawback that started at 1.5 years: the fabric above the heel on the inside rubs and causes a sore spot on the foot if you walk for more than 5-10 minutes.
Excellent quality, and very good (ortholite) insole.
