  WARNING ABOUT FAKE ELIXIR STRINGS!!
  Elixir strings are the best in their category for both electric and acoustic guitar. They truly last a long time and have an excellent sound. I used to break strings quickly due to my body chemistry, and since I started using Elixir (many years ago), I haven't switched brands. However, there are quite a few fake Elixir strings online. Be generally cautious and learn to distinguish them. In the pictures, you can see the stamp where the small dotted lines indicate the fake and the dots indicate the original. Also, the Gore logo is in a white box on the Original.
  The envelopes inside are incorrectly folded on the fake ones. Additionally, the fakes most of the time do not have the coating as you can see on the original.

  The best thing I have ever put on my guitar, really!! I have been using them for over 7-8 years, professionally, both on acoustic and electric (the corresponding electric set, of course). I was looking for a solution to not change strings every week. They last for over a month with plenty of live performances, in humidity, heat, and sweat, without significantly affecting their sound. I have kept them on a guitar for 1.5 months and they held up, while with other brands they don't even last a week!!! (I sweat a lot in my palms!!) I highly recommend them, especially for someone who doesn't play a lot, they can have them on their guitar for many months without worrying about rust, bad sound, etc.

  As for the sound, at first it may seem different from some other well-known brands, but if you compare the sound after 2 hours of playing, Elixir really shows that they are worth their money!! With any other brand I have tried, the sound becomes dull after 2-3 hours, and after 1-2 performances they are useless.

  P.S.
  I have tried all the well-known brands, from plain to coated ones that are supposed to not rust, and none of them come close to the level of Elixir. They are slightly "harder" than the classic D'Addario, Ernie Ball, etc., due to the coating they have and they are slightly thicker. The difference is minimal, but it exists.
