Jarrow Formulas Methyl Folate 400mcg contains methyl folate ((6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolate or (6S)-5-MTHF), a highly biologically active form of folic acid. Given the body's limited ability to convert synthetic folic acid into its active form, supplementation with -MTHF is particularly preferred.

HEALTH STATEMENT: Women who consume adequate amounts of folic acid can reduce the risk of giving birth to children with congenital anomalies of the brain or spinal cord. Folic acid intake should not exceed 250% of the daily value (1000mcg).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: Take 1 capsule daily with or without food or as directed by your physician.
