Usually, the first layer has waterproofing, while the second is a layer that allows air passage and offers better ventilation in the tent.

Fiberglass frame

The frame made of fiberglass is a common choice for the construction of camping tents. It is a lightweight and durable material, made from fiberglass fibers that are usually coated with polyester to protect them from water and moisture.

Fiberglass is flexible, allowing the frame to be lightweight and bendable to support the tent fabric.

What does the waterproof rating on camping tents indicate?

The waterproofing of a tent indicates how much water the outer fabric can repel. It is measured in millimeters (mm) and refers to how many millimeters of a vertical water column (and therefore pressure) a square centimeter of fabric can withstand without being penetrated by water.

The higher the degree of waterproofing, the less breathable the fabric is, and thus the warmer the tent. Common waterproofing values range from 500mm to 10000mm. Theoretically, any fabric with waterproofing >1000mm is considered waterproof. For example, a summer tent may have waterproofing from 500 to 1500mm.

the best value for money tent currently available. incredibly cool, satisfactorily resistant to summer rains, very small when packed, 3 kg weight, and all this for 65-75 euros. with closed eyes!!!

Amazing quality. For this price, I think it's the best, even during the summer months and with strong sun, the tent is relatively cool and doesn't "boil"! For 3 people, I would say it's not the best choice, but for 2 people it's perfect!

I have used the tent for 1 summer so far. It is very easy to set up because the attachment of the inner net to the poles is done with hooks. It is ready in 10-15 minutes.

The materials seem to be of good quality. The mesh has a special weave (for durability according to the company), the zippers slide smoothly. The bottom part seems durable. No issues with the seams. It is cool due to the 2 doors and the sun protection on the fabric, which possibly has the best waterproofing for this price range.

I consider it a good choice that is worth its money!
