I used to only buy branded units in the past. However, except for two, the rest disappointed me. So now, due to the times, I turned to a cheaper solution to replace a terrible Pionner that I had. Due to the uniqueness of my car's dashboard, 1 DIN was the only option. Therefore, my choices were either something with a flip screen or something like this with a 4'' screen. I preferred the latter because with a larger screen, the instruments in the middle of the dashboard would be partially hidden, and also because I didn't want to go through the process of modifications and customizations. I avoided a touch screen because although it seems more user-friendly in theory, it is not practical. Plus, many of them do not have a direct response.
The device is Chinese, of course, but it is from the company "VIGORWORK" which is considered one of the good ones. Its first release was in 2019, while the ones with the Greek language are newer. It comes from the factory with a complete set that includes a rearview camera. In other EU countries, the whole set costs about 45 euros. However, the Greek devil decided to remove the camera and the factory packaging, putting the unit in a cardboard box.
Beyond that:
Its installation is easy. Even if you can't do it yourself, a car electrician will install it for you in a few minutes for 20-30 euros.
Its operation is also easy. To enter the Menu, simply press the round button for 3 seconds. Alternatively, you can do it from the corresponding button on the remote control (after inserting two AAA batteries, of course).
Turning the round button to the right will take you to the options. From there, you can set the time and date and whatever else you may want (although the rest are preset and working fine). To change the time, once you are in the specific option, press the round button once. You will see a green line below the time display. Press the round button again to make this line orange. Now, by turning the round button to the right or left, you can adjust the time. After setting it, press the round button once to move to the minutes. Here, you will adjust them in the same way.
Similarly, with the same logic, you can adjust everything else. Like, for example, the screen illumination color (by default, it flashes in all colors, which is rather annoying). Everything is in Greek and you won't have any difficulty.
Connecting the Bluetooth to your phone is very easy, just by opening your phone's Bluetooth and searching for new devices. You will immediately see the "car BT" which you select and the connection will be established instantly.
I mention these things because the packaging comes without a manual (even though they claim it is included) and if you ask the store to send it to you by email, you will receive something completely irrelevant.
I quickly tested video, USB stick, SD card (supports multiple formats), and speech. Everything worked fine. As well as the infrared remote control.
Even if you get stuck somewhere, by searching on the internet for "4023DM" you will find plenty of information, even some videos on YouTube.
The sound with Bluetooth is not the best, but it is satisfactory. The overall sound of the unit is good, but of course, it also depends on the car's speakers.
Take into consideration that it does not include the frame (yes, they remove that too) and so you will have to order it separately. It's a small downside though and you don't have to put it on.
In conclusion, it is a unit with the necessary settings, of satisfactory construction that does its job.
