For its price, it's OK, it just has an excessively small power cable. From the desk to the power strip on the floor, it doesn't reach, you have to use an extension or have the power strip on the desk. So think about it before you get it for a children's desk.
The neck is not flexible enough, no matter where I turn it, it turns on its own towards one direction, so it doesn't stand up.
The light fixture is dangerous for use, especially by children for whom it is intended. I bought it, inspected it, and threw it in the trash. Initially, the "bell" that holds the bulb has holes on the top, so a child playing with it can insert a metal object, such as a connector, and get an electric shock. Furthermore, both the visible cable and the one inside the fixture are fake. Such products should not be sold.
I have two of these (white and black). I have had the black one for at least 10 years, and the white one for 3-4 years. Honestly, for its price, it is the simplest and most reliable option out there. I have it in my office in a spot where I often accidentally knock it down (my own fault, obviously). It hasn't suffered any damage at all!!! Especially the black one, even if it gets scratched, it doesn't show, and the white one definitely gets stained but cleans very easily. It is flexible, you can position the light wherever you want it to hit, and it stays steady without moving at all.
UNACCEPTABLE.. In one year it started flickering and I opened it to see what was going on and to my surprise, two cables were stuck together and they had also used a thermally conductive material as a cover.. STAY AWAY, these are safety issues.. That's why it was so cheap..
