It cannot be compared to other options I had tried in the past for the same money. It is a very high-quality product for the home use I needed and very effective for both shaving and cutting. Very sturdy and beautiful, all metal, it does not overheat, its motor is anything but weak, and the cutter does its job. I hadn't noticed that it had a few combs, but I found many and cheap ones. I've had it for a month.
I received the gold one instead of the silver one I had ordered, but everything is fine. After a few uses, it seems to be of good quality and sturdy for amateur use, I hope the battery will last long enough.
For shaving, it's not suitable because its teeth are sparse and it causes injuries. However, it works perfectly for trimming chest, head, and beard since I have a different set of blades for that. I'm not sure about using it for cutting hair.
The machine is beautiful and of good quality, it just lacks power and its blades do not cut as well as mentioned in the comments. I had a Philips one that I bought 6 years ago, which had more features. You get what you pay for, and for its price, I believe it was worth it.
I recently got the Gold edition. High quality, sturdy, and metallic everywhere, inox and gold-plated (switch, arm, front panel, etc.), a work of art, folks! I easily adjusted the cutters, which in this edition are not just inox. They are the same as the km 1986 G, with a gold-plated blade for heat dissipation and a titanium blade for durability (the theory says)...
Powerful 8w motor, delivers 6,500 rpm and a large lithium battery of 2,500 mAh!!! With these specifications, shaving and cutting is a piece of cake for this clipper. Its blades are very good, they don't heat up and can be zeroed easily for shaving. After 30 years with much more expensive clippers, I consider this to be the best and at the same time the cheapest clipper I've had! Its cleaning is classic, like all heavy-duty ones, you just remove the blades, clean them, and put them back. The little light that shows the battery status is very useful, blue when it's full and red when it needs charging. In conclusion, it is a very good, quality, and beautiful clipper for home use, with good cutters (the Gold edition). After all, it's no coincidence that half the planet uses these machines...
I believe that this one is one of the best from Kemei.
Clearly an imitation of the popular Wahl machine.
· Excellent build quality.
· Very good battery.
· Very good packaging although it arrived damaged.
· The lever is very hard but this can be easily solved.
· It comes with a brush for the hair and 4 guards ½#, 1#, 1-1/2#, 2# (Imitation of Wahl Premium Guards) as well as its charger.
It is a very good machine for its price. My only complaint is the blade that did not satisfy me. I will change it with the Magic Clip blade and I will return.
So far, I have had various machines in my hands, Remington, Philips, Wahl. I decided to get the Kemei after a friend's recommendation. Well, it is excellent for copying the magic clip, with similar power to the original, it doesn't get clogged, it cuts perfectly, and the battery simply never runs out. The only negative point is that it comes with very few attachments. I think Kemei can compete with the big players in the industry, at least in the category of rechargeable machines.
