Very fast, it reaches up to 1050Mb/s. The fingerprint works instantly and saves you from prying eyes for the password. It is hardware encrypted, which means that once unlocked, you don't need to enter any software to view files, you simply use it.
I had various fast and hard drives and flash drives, but there is no comparison. It achieves the speed it claims and doesn't drop dramatically when copying small files. With very small files, it operates at about half the speed, while others drop below 10% to 1%, even in precise solutions.
Formatted in EXFAT, I have connected it to Android without any problems, plug and play.
The fact that you don't fear losing it because it is encrypted is a great advantage.
It works with both a password and a fingerprint, whichever suits you. If you don't want it, you can completely disable it.
The software that unlocks it is excellent! You touch it and it unlocks in fractions of a second.
To use it with a password or fingerprint, you need to install a small program on the device only the first time, which is always accessible even when it is connected. For mobile devices, it is available on the Play Store.
I haven't tried it on a Mac, but they provide the software and from what I have seen, it is the same, simple and easy.
Finally, I should mention that when it is connected, you cannot see the actual 1TB drive or folder names, etc. You only see a very small read-only drive that has the installation software.
If you forget the password, there is no way to recover it, it clearly states in the manual. The only way to use it again is to perform a factory reset, resulting in the loss of all encrypted data.
Size is as small as a credit card.
The only drawback is that the software for storing the password and fingerprint is not user-friendly. However, you won't need it again after the first day you purchase it. Besides, your fingerprint never changes.

I have it for a year, it seems durable and high-quality. It reaches sequential speeds of 600/400MBps read/write respectively, and if you want, it locks with a fingerprint for security. The price is a bit steep at 150€ for 1TB
Unacceptable! Samsung software was never installed on MacOS Monterey 12.5 and MacBook Pro 2019. I was never able to back up, not even through Time Machine. I spoke with the official Apple distributor's service in Athens, who sells this specific product, and they told me it's a defective product. I contacted Samsung customer service and they told me over the phone that there is no service department in Greece for hard drives. Speak to England. Thankfully, they didn't refer me to Samsung's headquarters in South Korea... wasted time for 3 days, wasted money, and unnecessary hassle with phone calls and travel... The purchase was made through Skroutz basket on 8.8.2022. I hope they at least refund me the money. I have already made a request. I don't even give it a single star.
Reading the comments, I thought I would buy a rocket. So I bought it as a second disk for backup (Time Machine) on Mac and it took 6 minutes to transfer 887.7 mb.
I don't know if this speed is normal for one of the fastest SSDs, but I was disappointed.
It was also tested for transferring a large volume (50gb) where I didn't time it, but it gave the feeling that it was going faster.
The disk is fast (as long as you use the correct cable, as I noticed significant differences in transfer time between different type c to c cables for the same data) and very small.
Attention only to those of you who have Macs with M1 processors, as Samsung has not yet upgraded its app, so you will not be able to enable encryption with fingerprint recognition, etc.! The disk will function normally, of course, but you will not be able to use the locking feature.
For now, the solution is to download the app on a Mac with an Intel CPU or on Windows, make the security settings and fingerprint registration there, and then use it normally on the M1 machine, as after the initial setup, recognition and unlocking are done on the disk itself and the Samsung software is not required.
Update: Samsung has upgraded the software and now everything works perfectly on Macs with Apple Silicon. :)
Impeccable product. The SSD has a size and thickness similar to a credit card, elegant design, and the fastest data transfer speeds currently available. It is a sturdy construction, made of high-quality materials and resistant to impacts. The fingerprint lock, which is optional by the way, is easily and quickly adjustable, while functioning flawlessly. The T7 Touch is worth every penny and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in a large data storage that can be carried daily in a pocket or even in their wallet.
The encryption function of the T7 Touch SSD works but is unstable for long-term use, meaning if you intend to keep the SSD connected for extended periods and read/write data on a 24-hour basis (backups, automatic processing, etc.), it performs well on Windows. The explorer freezes at some point and the entire system becomes unresponsive. Perhaps better software addressing this issue will be released soon, but for now, it is stable only when used as a regular non-encrypted disk unit. Additionally, this will give you a maximum speed of 1 GB/s ONLY if your host computer also has a USB 3.2 bus. A USB 3.0 bus will only give you half the speed. Therefore, if your computer is USB 3.0 or lower and you do not plan on purchasing a new one soon, which is also USB 3.2 capable, do not pay the premium price for this, as you will not have the additional speed while the encrypted mode is currently unstable.
