Before this, I had bought the corresponding Delonghi 1012D which turned out to be DOA, but that's irrelevant. It had seemed a bit "lightweight" in terms of construction, but this one... it's different.
I've had it for 3 days. First of all, in Greece, it is overpriced, when in the rest of Europe you can't find it for more than 78 and 82 euros. But let's forget about that, you add the shipping costs and it still comes out to be one thing or another.
First of all, we're not talking about the other huge machines from TEFAL and DELONGHI, but this one is more compact. On the other hand, it is heavy - iron, not plastic.
I see its buttons a bit apprehensively, to be honest - they are a bit loose and they are a bit far from the body of the machine.
Let's get to the point now. It cooks everything. When we say everything, we mean everything. And it cooks them well! Vegetables are a great success as it cooks them without drying them out, just like meats. It is manual (if you are looking for an automatic one) and the only automatic thing about it is the timer, which is very useful. Meats take a little longer but it cooks them well and juicy. Fish, be careful if it is marinated, no, its non-stick is not the best in the world, but it cooks everything correctly and it takes a little longer - but at least it doesn't burn them.
Complete control on both plates, it heats up on the entire surface, etc.
Its heating elements are not the classic ones, but rather eyes under the plates.
The only slightly inconvenient thing is the collector at the back.
Another handicap, like in Bosch, the light flashes when it is plugged in.
In about three months, I will come back with photos
