The Yakuza series has always had a good story, excellent humor, and amazing gameplay. Unfortunately, although all the games in the series were successful in Japan, in the rest of the world (mainly due to poor marketing) very few people knew about them, and in Sega's poor attempt to make them more appealing, they changed parts, altered scenes, added a below-average English dub, and so on. Fortunately, after the success of Yakuza 0 and subsequent games, Sega realized that what we always wanted was the authentic Yakuza experience without unnecessary changes and censoring. This remastered version is exactly that. The three games in the series that were changed the most before their release outside of Japan are now in their original form, with a new and much better translation, and of course, with all the benefits of a remaster, such as higher resolutions and 60fps. Is it worth it? Without a doubt, but I don't recommend starting the series from here. For new players, the best starting point is Yakuza 0.
