    After the first use in heavy rain, I have to say that for their price (I bought them for €17), they were quite durable. The only point where water passed through was at the tip (I was also wearing thin athletic socks and a little water passed through to the sock). Also, always make sure to use the extra rubber band that hugs the ankle height of the gaiter, as it stabilizes the gaiter's sole to the shoe's sole and prevents it from hanging when lifting the foot.
