Nazism, the most inhumane theory and practice presented in the modern history of capitalism, was a political and ideological movement that left a deep mark on the memory of humanity. Studying the historical data of the Interwar period and World War II, one cannot help but wonder: What was the social background that gave birth to this historical monstrosity? Could this incredible accumulation of atrocities be attributed to human nature? If we wish not to remain on the surface of things, but to surgically penetrate their inner structure, and if we believe that essence and phenomenon are not identical, then we have one choice: examination through dialectics. Regarding Nazism, as with any social, political, economic, and historical phenomenon, we must study it dialectically, taking into account its historicity, prioritizing the causes, and distinguishing between causes and effects. Therefore, when discussing Nazism, many critical questions arise: Was it a product of parthenogenesis? How did its founders lay its foundations? Why did it gain such a foothold in Germany? The new book by Vasilis Liosis attempts to answer questions like these and many others, always with an eye on today and tomorrow. And always with the understanding that theory gains value only when it is transformed into a material force.
