The Genius5 is a 6 and 12 Volt battery charger, maintainer, and desulfator with a rated power of 5 amps for lead-acid batteries in cars, boats, and deep-cycle batteries, including GEL, AGM, and maintenance-free batteries, as well as lithium-ion batteries.
Do more with one charge
The Noco Genius5 features a multifunctional design that allows you to charge in more ways. Effortlessly charge multiple battery voltages such as (6 and 12 V lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries) with chemicals (GEL and AGM) and for battery types (start-stop, deep cycle, marine, powersport, and others).
New generation charging
The most powerful, efficient, and compact charger
A blend of electrical engineering and industrial design packs a powerful battery charger into a small size. The Genius5 uses high-frequency pulse technology to effectively convert A/C power into safe D/C power for charging the battery.
Its built-in microcomputer precisely controls the charging to minimize power loss, resulting in an incredibly compact charger.
Enhanced Starting Voltage Sensor. Brand New Force Function.
The brand-new start-voltage sensor allows the Genius5 to detect and charge dead batteries at a level as low as 1 Volt. For extremely dead batteries with a voltage lower than 1 Volt, manually activate the Force mode to detect and charge batteries even with zero Volts.
More accurate charging in any climate.
The new built-in thermal sensor automatically monitors and adjusts the charging cycle based on ambient temperature fluctuations, reducing the likelihood of under- or overcharging, providing a more accurate and fully charged battery. It avoids undercharging in cold weather down to -4F and overcharging in hot weather up to 104F.
Bring Your Batteries Back to Life
The Genius5 automatically detects sulfation/acid stratification. If detected, it will automatically repair and reverse the damage caused to the battery, extending its lifespan and enhancing performance.
Year-round charging. Zero overcharging. Automatic memory.
Finally, a charger from start to finish that is completely automatic. No special functions or technical knowledge required. The Genius5 will safely charge any battery.
It detects damaged batteries and intuitively repairs them. Actively monitors for long-term battery maintenance, extending battery life. This system allows for continuous operation without your intervention, offering zero risk of overcharging your battery.
Improved clamping range. Improved clamping force.
The clamps of the Genius5 are designed with needle-nose profiles for smaller terminal applications and detachable integrated holes for permanent attachment of the accessory to the battery. It's not a portable charger; it needs to be plugged in, so be careful, what good is it if you have to have a socket next to you to charge it? As a product, it might be good, but in terms of usability, it's useless for me. What good is it if it leaves you stranded in the middle of the road? One star for usability, not for the product itself. It doesn't say anywhere that it's portable, to be fair
1) Box from the outside, another box inside, another box! The components are quite a lot and seem to be of good quality; I was used to the old type (bulky and only for simple use) for years, and at first, this one seemed a bit strange to me, but then I read the instructions in Greek that it has (very explanatory) and charged a half-discharged 62A battery in a short time. It has its own fuse for protection, sturdy clamps.
2) DOES NOT charge a 6V battery for a moped, so why did I buy it? I was very disappointed; it was one of the main reasons for the purchase.
And the irrelevant reviews on products continue. I wonder if it is due to a complete lack of knowledge, malicious intent, or simply competition to undermine some admittedly worthy products and their value quality.
And the iPhones are Chinese too, but you don’t say anything, and you spend thousands when they come out! Designed in the USA, manufactured in China, the Noco5, with its packaging, design, and performance, is KILLING it. With all its accessories in the package, quality connections, crocodile clips, and a 3-year warranty.
With a 12V/63Ah Maintenance-Free battery (Hankook) that needed a good rejuvenation from partial inactivity and consumption from various sources, it performed wonders. 12-hour wiring up, everything turned green, and the car is back on the roads.
It also came with the unbelievably high-quality Noco case (worth every penny at €33), and now it’s a valuable accessory that will do its job from time to time for friends if requested, it has become a must-have.
One year and something later, it's like a Chinese one for €25...
Stay away, it has no longevity and from what I see, no service either.
As long as it worked, it was good, I would say very good, but it broke down very quickly...
74ah battery where the voltmeter showed no voltage managed to charge it to 13.4 V in about twelve hours without having completed the full charge as indicated by the charger's readings... very good though to start the car and I will see in the future its durability over time.... It also has an option for battery repair..!!
New purchase gave life to the battery of my motorcycle which is 4 years old and was inactive in a parking lot for the last year.
After a charging cycle, I also did a repair. After 15 days of daily use, I have not encountered any issues.
Good but I wouldn't recommend it. I'm not sure if it does what it says. In a new Bosch battery after charging, the voltage was not where one would expect it to be. Maybe the new battery was not so good? What can I say!
I bought it today. I have a two-liter car with a 74ma battery that has been idle for ten days. I tried to put it in front. It started but with difficulty. I used the Noco that I had bought. It turned green in about two and a half hours. I disconnected it from the battery and it worked perfectly. The only thing is that I accidentally dropped it from the first floor because the car was right underneath.
45 batteries forgot the lights on remained without power put it in the charger and within 5 minutes the green light turned on without being fully charged I do not recommend it
Very good charger for a new battery, it maintains it in a short amount of time, while with another charger it takes longer to fully charge it, in order to put it in maintenance mode. I highly recommend it.
Expensive but it has it all, and it's also suitable for lithium batteries. I have it in a car where the battery drains quickly due to the alarm and immobilizer, and whenever I use it, it charges the battery perfectly. I don't even have time to press the button, it starts right away. It also comes with a warranty, so I believe it's the right solution!
It was purchased to charge a deep discharge battery HANKOOK 100A DC31 MF (maintenance free). The battery powers agricultural machinery, such as tractors and other equipment. The main feature that the charger must have for such use is protection against overcharging. Essentially, because it has this capability and is fully automatic, there is no need to pay attention to when the battery is fully charged in order to disconnect it. Once it is fully charged, it simply maintains it at the maximum level of charge.
It was also used on a completely dead VW 63A car battery. The battery was drained due to a leak in the car. It immediately recognized the battery and fully charged it in about 12 hours. The charger also performed a repair on the battery, even though it did not detect any problems.
After charging, both batteries measured 13.10V - 13.13V using a multimeter
Fully charged a completely dead battery, when another company's product didn't even start the charging process due to low battery voltage! Every time I needed it, it was flawless, I highly recommend it.
You connect it and you don't bother. It does what it's supposed to. I highly recommend it. I use it to keep the battery in good condition in cars that I don't use. I have it permanently connected.
Update. The charger has been on a 12-volt 100-amp battery for 7 months, in charging-maintenance mode, and it doesn't even get warm. Impeccable build quality.
Incredible machine that, for me, is worth every penny since it is not a small amount compared to the others, you completely forget about battery care for the whole year without the slightest problem, and most importantly, when there is a power outage, the device will return to its initial settings and not go into standby mode like most others. I highly recommend it as the top charger, having already purchased 2 devices, the noco 2 and noco 10. Very satisfied with the use so far, close to 2 years without any issues.
I have a car battery for three years and I bought this product. I thought it would fix it for me... at first it charged the battery normally (as the machine said) and I thought the battery would last a week. It simply didn't even last a day! Now the machine doesn't even reach the second red indicator... as if it completely ruined it for me. With the machine on and a day of charging, it doesn't even turn on. That's why my rating!
Excellent product like all noco products. I maintain the battery of my car, which is Star stop 80 ah, on the car it does not heat up at all, very high quality. I have declared it, as well as the other noco products I have on their official page.
An incredible charger from noco. A colleague brought me a 100Ah battery that was completely discharged, and I charged it in 24 hours. If you don't drive your car for months, this charger will save your battery. I paid 78 euros with delivery.
Update August 10, 2023 - the charger broke down and I contacted noco ... we'll see (I'm removing one star anyway)
I charged a battery from a scooter, except that it never changed the charging level except when I unplugged it and plugged it back in (it showed that the battery was fully charged). I thought it was just a coincidence, so I put it in the car battery, but it was dead without any indication of functioning. I sent it to the store, which will send it to Thessaloniki for inspection in order to get approval for replacement. In the end, I ended up using my cousin's charger from Lidl for my work.
I would have changed the battery but I decided to try a battery charger - maintainer first! The best purchase I could make! A 5-year-old motorcycle battery that only works in the summer has made it brand new!
Purchased for 6v batteries for motorcycles over 40 years old with old technology batteries.. when the motorcycles are inactive, this charger is a one-way street!!
Also used on 12v batteries for scooters more than a few times..
Charged the car battery which had dropped significantly (be careful that the battery has liquid inside) and revived it with the repair function..
There is the possibility to purchase terminals that can be permanently connected to the battery of the motorcycle and whenever necessary, connect the plug to the charger for easy charging.. the terminal end connected to the charger is very watertight with a cap that has an oring. At €17 as an extra (yes, expensive), I bought one to start with and will buy another one because after 1 year and around 50 charges, it showed no signs of heating up or stopping the charging process..
Highly recommended!! The choice was made after a lot of research...
My purchases are always based on getting something that will meet my needs.. (charging batteries up to 120ah but the store gave it to me as Max 80ah)
At a price that is not €15 but not even €250.. or €500+ for professional use
It did its job perfectly fine. I charged 2 batteries, 55 ampere each, and the full charge (for each one) was completed after 12 hours. The indication of full charge is not when the green light flashes, but when the first 3 lights (2 red and 1 orange) turn off. Its positive aspect is that even if you forget about it, you don't have to worry because it can stay connected to the battery for a year with just maintenance.
