FCCST2 Softening and Iron Removal Filter, Aqua Filter softening and iron removal filter is used for the effective and economical reduction of hardness and removal of iron in any point-of-use water application. The filter contains a special blend of softening and iron removal resins, suitable for potable applications (food grade), and can also be used as a pre-filter in reverse osmosis systems to provide protection against excessive hardness to the reverse osmosis membrane, thus extending its lifespan (replace every six to twelve months)
