The "Nine Musical Images" are based on simple and concise themes written from 1990 to 1996, when they were collected into a single work for guitar. Over time, these themes took on various forms and were used to accompany theatrical or cinematic images, which - coincidentally or not - were almost all related to children.

In addition to the unity of style, the main criterion for selecting the pieces was simplicity - but not necessarily ease. Their common characteristic is the almost obsessive repetition of a melodic, harmonic, or rhythmic idea.

Of course, crucial to this highlighting was the inherent ability of the themes to be showcased by the guitar as if they had been written for it from the beginning, which in several cases is not far from the truth.

Georgios Mouloudakis played an important role in this highlighting, not only with his interpretive and technical abilities, but also with his valuable collaboration in the guitar adaptation. That is why the "Nine Musical Images" could only be dedicated to him.
