The power supply from Corsair's CV series is 80 PLUS Bronze certified and is ideal for powering a new computer at home or in the office for everyday use. With a length of 125mm, it features a built-in 120mm fan and all necessary cables integrated, continuously providing full power to your system.

Low Noise Operation

A thermally controlled low-noise 120mm fan only spins at high speed when your power supply is under heavy stress, slowing down for quieter operation at lower loads.

Protection Technologies

OPP (Over Power Protection); Function to shut down the power supply when excessive power is drawn, generally between 110 and 140% of the advertised power.
OTP (Over Temperature Protection): Protects the power supply from overheating due to failure, e.g., of the fan.
UVP (Under Voltage Protection): Protection aimed at shutting down the power supply if the voltage drops too low.
OVP (Over Voltage Protection): Over voltage protection works similarly to UVP, but in the opposite way.
SCP (Short Circuit Protection): Short circuit protection measures the resistance on each rail and will shut down when the resistance is lower than 0.1 Ω. Generally, this is combined with OPP, OCP, OVP, and UVP.

I have the CV 550W for 11 months, 3 stars because the GTX 1650 only works properly with MSI Afterburner with undervolt in MSI Afterburner because heavy games had freezes. When I installed the GTX 1650, the PC froze without the settings from the MSI Afterburner program. For entry-level gaming Nvidia cards, you need a power supply greater than 550 Watts to avoid issues with the PC.

I have had this power supply for a day now and from the first day it broke. Immediately after playing for about 3 hours, the computer shut down on its own without me even touching anything. Initially, I checked if the drivers were up to date and they were indeed. Then, after investigating a bit, I realized that the power supply was not providing the appropriate amount of power for the computer to function properly, resulting in it crashing on its own. After the first time it shut down on its own while I was playing, it even shut down on the desktop. Generally, during the 3 hours I played, it was quiet. This particular power supply probably has some problem, but luckily the warranty covers me. Just know that if you get this power supply, it might happen to you too.

I bought the 550W two weeks ago for a system with i5 2400 and rx 470. Everything was fine until it started to emit a smell like burning plastic for five minutes and stopped. And now I ask myself WHY WOULD IT PRESENT SUCH A THING AFTER TWO WEEKS IN A COMPUTER WITH A CONSUMPTION OF 430-450w

I can say that it's a decent power supply for the 40€ I spent. Of course, if you have my case, it's not the best due to the lack of flat cables in the back. However, the cables are long enough and there are plenty of connections, which is great for a 450w power supply. They are also nicely dressed, resulting in a beautiful system that makes a little noise, but not to the point of being annoying. I don't understand why some people complain about the thick cables.

But with a 1050 ti, you're stuck with 450w, and with some implementations of the 1060, not all, but if you go for a more powerful one, 550w would be better. However, it's a power supply for budget systems. Don't spend 2000€ on everything else and only 60€ on the power supply, it's a shame.
