    This utensil is not ceramic. I bought (unfortunately) 3 different sizes, and I realized it from the weight, before even opening the box! It is aluminum, with a ceramic coating. It is so thin that if it falls down, it will definitely bend irreparably, and if I forget and touch it with a knife, the coating will start peeling off, as it happens with "non-stick" pans with Teflon. What a pity.
