The Gryphon 4500 2D series are Datalogic's premium handheld scanners. The GD4500 scanner is a tabletop (wired) version intended for general use.

The Gryphon I GD4500 scanner is distinguished by its sleek and modern design, unprecedented ergonomics, and features the most advanced megapixel sensor with 2D technology with warm white lighting, ensuring excellent performance.

The Gryphon GD4500 uses Motionix technology, which detects the operator's natural behavior and automatically changes the scanner to the desired scanning mode. This technology works both with and without a base, offering the capability to read both in hand and from a presentation.

The warm white backlight high visibility data reading technology is easier on the human eyes and reads colored labels much better.

The visible 4-dot aimer precisely defines the reading zone and reduces accidental readings, while the aiming cross in the middle of the aimer provides a locator for targeted scanning in a multi-barcode environment.

The GD4500 imager device is also available in a healthcare version with a disinfectant-ready and antimicrobial housing designed for healthcare applications.
