They were purchased 7 months ago for €105 for music, YouTube, Netflix, and remote learning.
Initially, their construction is very sturdy with good quality plastics and they are quite flexible. The sound is very good with normal bass (it is regular and doesn't blow your mind). I am very satisfied with the Active Noise Cancellation and noticed the difference in a noisy environment (e.g. on the street).
The microphone simply does its job, it's nothing special. The battery lasts as long as it claims and charging takes 2 hours with +-10 minutes max. The connector that connects to the headset initially seems like it won't hold up, as it locks when you plug it into the headset, but after some time and several pulls, I saw that it has absolutely no problem.
One observation, their sound seems better when I have ANC activated and at a higher volume than without (maybe it's an illusion since it "lowers" the external volume).
The Sennheiser app is very "empty" but you can do your job with the preset options it provides.
CAUTION! The headphones are indeed quite tight and at first, I was disappointed because they bothered me and even caused pain after a short use. HOWEVER, I spent a lot of time and found, after a lot of effort, the position that doesn't bother me at all (note: I have very small ears, with larger ones the problem might continue), and from there on, I really started to enjoy them (I even use them for sleeping).
Another thing I noticed when I was connected via Bluetooth to a PC and in some communication application (e.g. Webex, Discord, Skype), it would set the headphones' microphone as the preset and it would switch the sound back to the headphones from the microphone (i.e. I could hear myself as I spoke through my headphones).
Finally, they are very easy to clean and the earpads can be replaced with others.
Therefore, I am completely satisfied (since I adjusted them correctly), but I would have expected the price to drop to €120 and below to buy them.
Fun fact: the headphones were originally intended for €200+ but they couldn't compete with others in that category, which is why Sennheiser lowered their price so much.
UPDATE 28-11-22: The official Sennheiser app has been upgraded for some time now and it has taken the sound of the headphones to another level! The issue I mentioned with the sound returning (sidetone) in communication applications has been resolved, as you have the ability to disable or reduce it.
UPDATE 10-7-23: The button that increases the volume has lost its "click" but it still functions normally.
UPDATE 15-9-23: The seam on the earpads opened and their cover quickly deteriorated, losing some of the sound isolation.
UPDATE 3-11-23: New genuine earpads were purchased from a well-known music equipment chain for €15 and I must say that they are better than the original ones, as they have a larger gap for the ears, making them noticeably more comfortable and easy to wear.
The review is clearly based on those who want to use them for a computer and honestly, I was very disappointed. Until now, I was using HyperX Cloud 2 on my PC and I will continue to use them because unfortunately, the Sennheiser ones let me down. They seem to be designed for mobile use, but even there, the sound was really mediocre.
Apart from that, I have to say that the Sennheiser application was really difficult to use and things like soundcheck didn't work properly, as there was no sound. The equalizer makes very little difference, if it wasn't just a placebo effect.
Another thing, although the build quality seems quite good, they are excessively tight, which may improve with use, but I'm not going to try it to find out.
Overall, a disappointing experience and 140 euros less. I really hope I was just unlucky and that the product had some issue, but they don't accept returns if you have opened the packaging...
Finally, I would recommend for PC users to simply get the HyperX Cloud 2 or Steelseries Arctis 5/7, depending on the cost they want, as both will definitely provide a better experience.
They are quite good quality, but don't expect to have real noise cancellation for this price; it just somewhat reduces the noise around you when you press the button for this function, and nothing more... Otherwise, for the money, the headphones have several features, and the software for the mobile is very useful. Don't buy them if you want noise cancellation
Very good headphones, I have had them for about 5 years and I have changed the ear cushions. Their sound is awesome. Disappointed that their application does not support these specific headphones so you can make any adjustments you want. They are totally worth it.
Very good sound quality, good construction, they isolate external sounds perfectly but I would like them to have a little more volume.
It's good, but let's not get carried away... They're nice and relatively comfortable for me, even though they put a little pressure on my ears without bothering me too much. I prefer them so they don't fall off.
As for the sound (in mp3 320kbs and flac), I have to say that I come from headphones of similar price (beyerdynamic) but with a jack, without Bluetooth... the difference with these ones that have Bluetooth is HUGE!!! I also installed the Sennheiser app, but nothing... I was forced to get them because of a change in my phone and the lack of a 3.5mm audio jack. With Bluetooth, you gain comfort without a cable, control of the player from the headphones, noise cancelling, but you lose in sound quality... Obviously, you have to pay twice as much because you're paying for Bluetooth, battery, and controller.
EDIT: In the end, the company is not good for consumers as I was told, it's for studios, so only its good and expensive pieces are worth it.
After 5 months, one of the ear cushions came off, even though I always kept them carefully in their case.
Very good sound quality, I can no longer listen to music from regular earphones. I have had them for 3 years and use them every single day, they are very good even for running, they don't fall off!
I bought the headphones a few days ago and I really haven't taken them off my head. I previously had Beats Solo 3, which I bought for £250, and the Sennheizers are on a completely different level for almost half the price. Comments about them being tiring, I think they are a bit exaggerated although it's a subjective matter. Personally, they tired me after 6 consecutive hours of listening. Hit me up
For their money, they are very good. I have had them for about 3 months now and I can say that I do not regret my money. If you are looking for ANC headphones, there are better options, but these are not bad either. After a long time of use, they hurt my ears because the earcups are too tight, but there is the possibility to change them for more comfort. I recommend them to anyone who gets them, I have tried them from a friend who has changed them and they are much more comfortable (I will do it myself at some point). I have some complaints about the built-in microphone, but it works fine during calls. Overall, they have very good sound, amazing battery life, and very good construction. If you give them some time and get used to them on your head, you can use them for hours.
