My speakers used to produce noise in idle state with my old card (Lexicon Alpha). With the SSL, the noise has significantly decreased. Excellent drivers, high-quality and sturdy construction, completely satisfied so far.
I use the card for recording and creating educational videos along with a dynamic XLR microphone, and the 62db gain of the preamps is more than enough to produce clean and powerful sound without needing to max out the gain knob, which might happen with dynamic microphones connected to other sound cards.
As for the construction, it is very high-quality, from the casing to the buttons and sound controllers.
