I bought two thinking that the first one was defective, but no. It literally needs a punch to turn on or off!!
It is not suitable for LED dimmers. In a multi-light fixture with 6 spotlights, I had to also use 2 incandescent bulbs to prevent flickering. However, they still flicker. I have tried different bulbs, both branded and non-branded, but the same things happen. I replaced one with a LeGrand bulb, but it does the exact same thing.
Electrical behaves much better than models of a well-known French brand.
First and foremost, it doesn't make any noise when set to a medium position!
Secondly, when connected to a neon LED strip, it performs much better compared to the aforementioned French one. I had an issue where when I turned off the switch, the LED strip wouldn't turn off completely. It would drop to 15% with the French one, but now with this one, it drops to 5%.
The only downside I found is the slight "click" it makes when turning on/off. If the knob on the base is not aligned properly, it's not easy to press. But you can easily fix this by slightly loosening and reattaching the knob. In terms of tactile feedback, this aspect could use some improvement, but it's not something drastic. It's perhaps the only area where the French one excels (slightly).
Unfortunately, it was obviously defective and broke on the second day. The switch works like a dimmer but cannot turn off completely since it only accepts the push if you literally punch it
