Summer tires with the best mileage performance! Enjoy approximately two extra driving seasons.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
I noticed the difference as soon as I put them on. I've tried them in wet and dry conditions, and the car really grips well on the road. So I needed them, and for now, the car is like a train. I've been using them for 2 months. Time will tell about their durability. For now, they are among the best tires I've ever had
Original equipment tires on a Skoda Scala, they lasted up to 55,000 km in 4 years and never gave me any trouble! No complaints at all! They took us many kilometers on the highway but also on dirt roads whenever needed. This is the first time I am so satisfied with any tire from any company
The tires were installed on a Citroen C3 after replacing the factory Michelin tires that the car had before. I have driven about 12,000 km and recently on Mesogeion Avenue in Athens I had to brake suddenly. It was one of those days with high summer temperatures and it was noon. The car immediately activated the ABS system and the tires skidded. My speed was about 60 km/h and I had enough safety distance from the car in front of me. Unfortunately, the car did not stop and I hit the car in front of me fortunately at a low speed. The Michelin tires I had before had better grip even up to 45,000 km. Overall, the Goodyear tires slip more than they should. Of course, the road surface, which is often glassy, does not help. However, I will not choose them again since they do not differ in price from other tires
I bought the car used with these worn tires, first time I have Goodyear and definitely the last. The car is a VW Passat 1.6tdi and with the slightest acceleration in 1st and 2nd gear, it spins and slips and the anti-spin kicks in. The ABS kicks in relatively easily when braking and you feel that it doesn't have great performance and you slide a lot when braking. Now that it's getting warmer, it slips and the car oversteers to a dangerous extent, but luckily the ESP saves the situation. The tires were manufactured in 2021 and they have already dried out and torn while still having some life left. Tragic.
205-55-16. I bought them on April 11, 2023 for the Opel Astra K 136 horsepower. I was never satisfied because on winding roads, there was both intense oversteer and dangerous understeer that definitely do not support the character of the car. During sudden accelerations, the anti-spin even engaged in third gear. After using them for 14500 km, I removed them and replaced them with Continental premiumcontact7. I am waiting for them to settle a bit and I will also comment on them. I am going back to Goodyear efficient grip performance 2. I will never put them on again, nor do I recommend them for cars of this style. Thank you.
Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance 2
Tire size: 205/55 R16 91V
Ideal for VW Golf (they are summer tires)
I have been using them on my VW Golf 4 gti for over 8 years. I started with the first EfficientGrip Performance tires and I haven't changed them. They last 2-3 years. The tires have been tested on VW passenger vehicles, with top ratings in tests compared to other expensive brands.
I put them on a golf 5 1.4 tsi in 2020 after 3 years and 50,000 km I can say that I am very satisfied it still has grooves but I will change them for safety. It has good grip on dry and wet surfaces under normal conditions. Even after 50,000 km, as soon as you bring them to temperature, they have good grip.
Worn on a Mercedes clk 200 with 184hp. The tire dealer recommended them to me as very good, since I always used Michelin and couldn't find them due to the pandemic at that time. So, I listened to him, put them on, and I have not been satisfied at all with anything, and of course, they can't even come close to Michelin. I have a family, we often go on trips and journeys to the mountainous village, with many turns, and the car, even when loaded, the ESP and ABS engage for fun. It does not tolerate sudden movements, it does not tolerate delayed braking on wet surfaces, I truly tremble that the car won't slip away, and overall, I have driven 25,000 km with these tires and they are the worst. Very hard tires and a lot of noise in the cabin. So, a potential buyer of these tires, if they want, they can see my review to a tire dealer who might recommend them for good.
I am one of the first people who bought them as soon as they were released in early 20. Now I have 37,000 km on my Peugeot 308 t9 diesel. The tire is very good for normal use and wears out very slowly. However, I think this is because it is relatively hard.
I come back at 41,000 km and 3 years of use. Although the signs of wear are few, it slips excessively in a dangerous spot. It also hardened a lot, transferring vibrations to the cabin. Definitely a change. The + kilometers that the company claims it can handle definitely do not apply to Greek roads and the Greek climate.
I have a Ford Focus 1.6. It had Michelin Primacy 3 tires. Perfect tire, even after 5 years of use it was still great. I replaced it with supposedly better Dunlop Sportmaxx RT, but even though it has excellent grip, it is not suitable for these cars, it doesn't warm up. Then I couldn't find it again and seeing the reviews, I bought Good Year tires. By far the worst tires for me. Constantly experiencing ESP and ABS. I was afraid to enter the turns, until it was time to change them and I asked the tire specialist who recommended Continental ContiSportContact2. By far the best tires I have tried. They are always there...
The best tires!!!
In all tests, whether on dry or wet roads, always first!!
Great price!!
I installed them on a 2019 Volvo V40 CC on 25/11/2022 and on the way from the store to home, I realized how wrong I was. The next day we went on a family trip to Trikala, Elati, Kalambaka from Athens, so it was tested on different road surfaces, both dry and wet. The worst thing I have ever put in my life. I am truly writing this message to protect people from the most failed purchase of their life.
The only negative thing is the hard tire that you feel on every bump of the road (owner of the previous Goodyear performance 1) Opel Astra 1.6
Now, some comments that talk about comfort, I don't know exactly what they mean
I can't help but write about my experience. I have worn out the tires in kilometers. Normally, they are recommended to be changed at 40,000 km, but I have already done 56,000 km in 1.5 years and I continue. There is still sufficient tread and no external damage. They don't bulge, but I don't ride on sidewalks either. Up to 45,000 km, the tires work perfectly, I didn't notice any instability. They are moderate in hardness, super durable, and in the rain, I have never felt insecure, even during sudden movements. In dry conditions, you might feel that they are a bit cold for the first 5 minutes of driving, but I think that's the case with all tires. After 50,000 km, well... they show insecurity and are noisy, but we can't expect luxury. It's time to change them. I delayed it for another 15-20 thousand km without endangering myself. THAT counts...
Great tires.. I used to have the Performance 1 and they were amazing. The front ones lasted 40,000 miles and the rear ones lasted 55,000 miles. In the last 10,000 miles, I noticed a decrease in their grip more than in their braking performance.
I bought the tires because I drive a lot of kilometers. However, I never believed that there could be such quality in terms of grip, comfort, and information for the driver after they have done 62,000 kilometers. And they still last for at least another 10,000 kilometers when other top-class ones would only last up to 50,000 kilometers with a lot of anxiety.
They are stable and generally hold up well on the road. However, they are very soft, so when you hit a pothole, you feel it clearly. Also, one of them ripped easily just by lightly touching a curb.
I have had them for over a year and about 10,000 kilometers. Normal use, both in and out of the city, on rural roads, I have never had any problems, neither in regular nor in faster driving. I recently measured their depth, 7 millimeters in the front, 7 and a bit in the back, so they still have a long way to go, they were new with 8 millimeters.
Edit 20/7/22: in the photo are the front ones, they were installed at 15,000 kilometers in the front, since then they have done another 4,000 kilometers, total of 19,000.
Edit 2, 18/9/23, now 30,000 kilometers, another 15,000 since the front and back change. 6 millimeters depth in the front and back, from 8 they had when new, so theoretically they have "eaten" ¼ of the tread so far
Good quality/durability ratio for the price.
I put them on influenced by the reviews I saw. At least in my vehicle, I am not satisfied at all (Audi A4 1.8T). For the first 1500 km, they were relatively good. Then the ABS and antispin started to easily engage. Twice at low speed, I almost skidded backwards. I have driven 5000 km and it's getting worse. They take a long time to warm up and only when traveling do you feel that they somehow grip, but you still don't feel relaxed. They perform well on potholes. On 02/08/2023, I will come back for an update after 32,000 kilometers, 90% of which are on the highway. The tire wear is relatively low, but I activate the antispin during starts and the ABS during braking relatively easily, even without aggressive driving at all. Overall, I don't feel good in the car and it makes me feel insecure. Let's go for a tire change, I will definitely not put them on again.
I have had them for about 4 months. I have driven approximately 2,000 kilometers. They have good grip in turns on wet or dry roads, and I have noticed various fuel economy benefits. What I don't like so much is that in hot weather, when the road is hot, braking is not particularly sharp at speeds of 40-50 kilometers, and there is a chance of sliding and activating the ABS, whereas with my previous Michelin tires, this never happened. Now we will see how they hold up over time. I might consider buying them again in the future. They perform very well on wet roads.
I used them on a medium hatchback, I put them on again. I am satisfied with their performance. At the end of their life, they had hardened a lot and with the change, I noticed a difference in the smoothness of the vehicle's ride, immediately. Their grip is very good on dry surfaces, while I have no opinion on wet conditions as I have not tested them in such conditions. However, the previous (old) ones I replaced with the new ones had a difference, for the better, larger than expected. They have not scared me as I use them, not even a fraction of a second, during sudden changes in direction and playful driving. I fully trust them. I think I have found my tire.
Perfect so far. Grips everywhere. Quiet.
Coming from Pirelli Cinturato P7 205/55R16 91V, I have to say that no matter how much they paid me, I would never put Pirelli again.
I have been wearing them on my 316i for 6 months now. They are quiet and have very good grip on both dry and wet surfaces. They cost me 280€ and I highly recommend them.
These, along with the Michelin tires that I have tried, are very good. Very good in wet conditions, comfortable, good braking, but not suitable for fast driving, they are only good for everyday use (for fast driving, the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 tires that I have on my other car are good)
Installation 14/08/2020
Price 300 euros
First impression: lighter steering wheel
Satisfactory grip on dry surfaces.
12/9/21 all good
27/6/22 the tires work perfectly, no issues
Well. Having covered the first 2000km, the impressions are excellent. Comfortable, quiet (superior to the Pirelli tires they replaced...) they offer much better car handling. Soft sides that contribute to comfort but require attention in large potholes and bumps. Low rolling resistance and better fuel consumption! I consider these and the Continental Premium Contact to be the top choices!
I have been wearing these specific tires for a month now, having covered 1200km with them on a vw golf vi 1.4 tsi and in size 205/55/16 91v... The first impressions are excellent! Very good grip in dry and wet conditions, short braking distances, comfort, low noise level, and all of this at a very competitive price. Highly recommended!
Update 1/3/2021: After one year of use (10,000km), the exceptional first impression is confirmed. Flawless in all conditions and without any wear!
