Translated from Greek ·Did you find this review helpful?In an island area with hard water (23o dH), it managed to completely eliminate the hardness (0o dH) as soon as it was installed. Personally, I had a hard time believing it even though I measured it myself. Now I have to see how long it will be able to maintain it... but even if it lasts a month (instead of the 6 months mentioned by the manufacturer), it is still cost-effective (due to family reasons, I couldn't afford to buy the 6-packs with bottled water..). I should mention that before this, I had installed a Greek company's salt retention filter and it did nothing (the hardness remained the same after the filter as well as the tap water). Okay guys, let's prefer Greek products (that's what I initially did and now I regret spending my money...), but they should be able to compete with imported ones (at least to some extent). In this case, once again unfortunately, America and again America (an international company with many years of presence in the market, exports worldwide - so it can offer lower prices, certifications from international organizations, etc). Finally, I don't know if it matters, but I should mention that I use it as an intermediate device in a countertop unit, after a polypropylene filter (3 euros) and followed by an additional activated carbon filter (0.5 μm).
UPDATE: Unfortunately, the filter only lasted for 2 weeks. The water hardness gradually returned (as much as the tap water). The only solution in my opinion for areas with hard water (>20o dH) is a water softener (followed by filtration). Don't be swayed by reverse osmosis systems that are advertised as suitable. Without prior water softening, they won't be able to work for a long period of time (otherwise, you will need to change the reverse osmosis membranes very frequently). I know this from personal experience in a professional setting where we had to connect a water softening system before the reverse osmosis could work (total installation cost > 8000 euros).

Did you find this review helpful?It does what it promises, without making the water unsuitable for drinking. Before its installation, water that remained on the glass shower left clear salts. Afterwards, the salts are noticeably reduced. Don't expect miracles, it's not a desalination device. However, it reduces salts in water that has slightly higher than normal levels. It would be good to install it third or fourth, after polypropylene and carbon. I used a 10 μm polypropylene, 1 μm carbon, 0.5 μm carbon, and then this in the main supply of a house in an area with moderate water and plenty of salts. The result is that the water tastes great and has a good level of salts.
