Any socket you get will do its job, except for this one here. Besides the crazy temperatures it reaches while it is, and I emphasize, CLOSED and not providing power to anything (even in an open space), it disconnects all the time, and in case of a power outage, you need to have it placed in an accessible spot because it has to be pulled out of the wall to be able to reconnect. Overall, only failures from this brand.
My first switch and my experience was completely disappointing, it is incredibly exaggerated... then the connection with Alexa or Google speaker is impossible 24/7 because it constantly disconnects... stay away
I am 16 years old and I know about technology in general. I have 2 tapo p100 sockets which I connected to my mobile phone in less than 3 minutes each. With this dlink socket, it took me over an hour without any result. After 11 attempts, 9 of which failed because "my phone is far away from the socket and it doesn't catch its wifi signal", from a distance of 20 centimeters in a straight line, without obstacles, I threw the device and accepted that it was one of the worst purchases I made
I have 2 of these devices and they come back normally after a power outage (turned OFF for safety reasons of course). It goes without saying that if your router has also shut down due to the power outage, it will take quite some time to reconnect and come back online, as long as it takes for the router to turn on and synchronize with the internet...
Stay away from this brand. When there is a power outage, the socket does not recover and you have to unplug it from the wall socket to start again. I spoke with a D-LING technician and they told me that it gets clogged and needs to be plugged in again. The only solution they told me is to have a UPS in every socket. So you throw them away
