Excellent. Better than bottled water, no irony. Good water flow for what it is. 2-3 seconds longer to fill a simple glass compared to regular tap water. Be careful with the igniters; if the plastic wears out, you'll need to find replacements. I saw female replacements sold individually, but the male ones are only sold in sets that include all 4 as they originally come together. I got the set for 5 euros from a store after A LOT of searching. I hope to save someone the hassle.
IMPORTANT!!! The lady at the store told me that something is going on with the suppliers in Japan and they have stopped sending both the filter and its replacements, and they are waiting to hear news for now. Because many other users have noticed, like I did, a decrease in availability and increased prices. 14/02/2024

  It does what it promises, and the water is aesthetically better. I was recommended by a specialist to reduce the salts I intake. Regarding the new replacement filter, I sent an email to the company in Japan, where I received the following response translated word for word from English:

  "We sincerely apologize for any confusion or inconvenience caused by the recent changes to the replacement filters. To comply with EU regulations, we made some modifications to the MKC.EG-EU replacement (the filter you mentioned). Specifically, the logo has changed to silver, and the transparent cap has been removed."

  I have been using the filter for almost five years now and I am very satisfied, but I have been very concerned after reading the latest comments regarding the batch with the silver letters because when I used the last one I had with gold letters, immediately after I bought a set with silver letters to have them, since I also supply my parents who I have bought the same device for. As soon as I opened a package of the new ones and seeing that they indeed do not have a cap on top, even though the design suggests otherwise, after reading all the comments, I think this is not a problematic batch but a counterfeit of the genuine product with the gold letters and the cap. I will try them and will get back in 1-2 weeks. For now, I am giving 2 stars for the anxiety I have after what I read.

  The new shipment of filters from Japan that arrived at the end of July does not seem to have the same quality as the previous ones with the gold letters. After 35 days, the water had started to show noticeable differences. Consuming 1500 liters in 35 days is not possible. Additionally, the fact that the cap no longer opens is definitely a negative because we could check if the fibers had darkened. A store informed me that the Japanese determined there was a 2% leak with the cap and thus decided not to include it. Personally, if I notice a quick change in water quality with the next 1-2 filters as well, I will probably turn to other companies.

  I bought a filter for my parents, and generally, they have always been very satisfied with the quality of the filter and the results in the water. Unfortunately, since the beginning of the year, I couldn't find a replacement anywhere.. A little while ago, I saw that they were available again, so I bought replacements.. unfortunately, however, they are nothing alike - apart from the fact that you can't see the product inside because it used to have a glass panel, it has reduced flow after a few days - as if it is overly sensitive. In any case, I ended up getting them a Cleansui device made by Mitsubishi, which is also Japanese with many certifications and common technology, and I have no problems at all.
