There are some severe design flaws here. The machine broke the second time I used it, due to vegetable refuse build up at the bottom, the top was popped off and broken. I can still use it now, but I must hold down the lid. It is very hard to clean, so many small crevices, and the brush is poor quality. I would not recommend this machine.

Did you find this review helpful?I purchased the SJV301 juicer from blaupunkt last November. I used it twice without any problems. The third time I used it to grind the same ingredients (carrot, beetroot, celery), a loud noise was heard and suddenly liquids started leaking from the machine. I stopped it and upon disassembling the parts, I discovered that a large crack had formed in the component with the handle (which attaches to the metal base), running halfway around it and causing the juice outlet to split in two. I believe there is a manufacturing defect and because of this, I do not recommend it.
