For those who play games on PC, I recommend buying a Displayport 1.2 cable (male on both sides not included in the package). Displayport 1.2 offers better support for Adaptive Sync and Dynamic refresh rate, with a total transmission of 17.28 Gbit/s data rate. Whereas HDMI 2.0 can only offer up to 14.4 Gbit/s data rate, which is considerably less. For those who generally play games, it is recommended to use Displayport.

Did you find this review helpful?I have had the screen in my possession for 6 months now and I use it for work and gaming. The screen is made of good materials and the stand is sturdy. The screen has very good colors although I agree with others that it needs a little adjustment to bring it to more realistic colors. It has various lighting profiles to find a comfortable one for your eyes and the high resolution offers very perfect clarity so you don't get tired while reading. In my case, it came with a little backlight bleed on the top left and right, but in normal use I don't notice it and it doesn't seem to affect the image with HDR. Now on the gaming part. I use it with xbox series x. First of all, the game mode it has is useless because it simply affects the colors and not the response. If you want a quick response, change the response time in the menu. But if you want the fastest response on this screen, then open freesync and enable the corresponding setting on xbox series, ps5, gsync etc. In this setting, the response is really very fast. Although it doesn't have real HDR (local dimming), the processing it does for HDR signal is very good and produces very vivid colors in games. For some annoying things more than negatives... When it has multiple inputs on the screen, it doesn't automatically switch to an active input when you turn off another one (e.g. I turn off the xbox and it doesn't automatically switch to the computer) and you have to change it manually. The vesa mount, as others have said, be careful because for vesa 100 you will need spacers because it doesn't fit. For vesa 75 you don't have a problem. The most annoying thing I would say is that I have an issue with HDR. I don't know if I got a defective one. When I open a game with HDR or a movie with HDR, then the screen flickers a little to load the HDR signal which is normal. But when I close the game or the movie, then 1/5 of the screen doesn't come out of HDR and remains black screen and says it lost signal and I have to go from "memory" to reopen for example a game to display an image and close it again to disconnect the signal and return to SDR.

I had to adjust the settings, and I added 5% to the digital vibrancy from the settings on the graphics card. The contrast is not very good. It is indeed very bright. The 3 settings on gamma should be better, generally in dark scenes it is not good, so I increased the contrast setting again through the graphics card software. The viewing angles are just good. I should note that my screen came without any technical flaws. The game mode is terrible. It is good as a screen in general, but it loses in functionality and ease of use. I chose it because of the good reviews here... My mistake. I'm not saying it's bad, but it's not what I expected. The previous screen I had from the same company, which broke, was better even though it had a VA panel.

++ The monitor came from the factory with a color profile that was not far from ideal. This means that you don't need to buy a color calibration tool to edit images and videos.+ It has an external power supply, so if it breaks, you can replace it without throwing away the screen.
+ The backlight bleed is minimal, at least in the one I received.
+ IPS
Negatives:
~ The VESA mount for the monitor requires spacers (or some washers).~ The pixel switching time is not good and definitely not the 4-5ms that all manufacturers claim. Expected at this price.
- When the screen is turned off and connected via DisplayPort, it disappears from the graphics card as if the cable is disconnected. This creates a problem when using two screens and wanting to work only on one, as the operating system readjusts the windows as if you had one screen. (This doesn't happen with the two HDMI ports)
--- The worst part is that it doesn't wake up when the computer resumes from standby. The same issue occurs if I manually turn it off and on. The screen turns on, acts as if the cable is not connected, and then turns off. I have never seen such an issue with a monitor. Now, if I received a defective model, I can't say, but seeing this, I wouldn't buy a second one.
However, I tried everything:
* This happens on both Linux and Windows 10.
* On both desktop and laptop.
* I tried using the HDMI cable that came with it.
* I tried with two different display port cables (v1.2 1.8m, v1.4 1.8m).
* I checked for interference from power cables.
* I tried using a different graphics card (1050ti, p2000).
Nothing.
In the end, I created a script** to send a reset command to the monitor after it wakes up from standby with a small delay.The last issue prevents me from recommending it. Now, if you only use Linux, you can understand how to use the script below, and considering the price is around €280, I would say it's worth it.

2021-02-04Expert userI was one of the first to receive the ps5 in November and it was time to change a 27" FHD monitor from aoc to this one. Not only did I not regret it... it is the most value for money purchase to have 4K@60 on a console.
The colors are beautiful, it has nice viewing angles and the difference is evident in 4K compared to 1080p.
It provides 2 HDMI and 1 display port. USB port and headphone jack output.
Besides the ps5, I also have the ps3 (for the nostalgia of some games) unfortunately it is not easy to switch HDMI through the menu but you get used to it. I also connected trust 36w (18+18) speakers to the jack with power from the monitor via USB. Very good, I don't tie up their ps3/4/5 port. 3 months close and whoever wants 4K will not look elsewhere, this is the screen for you!The negative is that it does not have a DP cable for a computer, only HDMI and even 1.2 for 4K@30... come on Samsung 30-50 minutes. come on, it costs you 1-2€... put in a cable here, turbo-x and Philips do it... luckily Sony had a cable for the ps5 2.0 version.

I was between some LG monitors at 350 which I saw were older and the HDR worked more like saturation than real HDR. I would say that the HDR of this monitor is almost equivalent to the 65" 4k I have in the living room. The FHD with 4k is like day and night and even though I am used to 4k now, I still said "wow" when I started playing Forza. For those who have a console, it is and will be the ideal monitor for next-gen consoles. Now, regarding the refresh rate and response time. I am generally not interested in these, even though I play games, I play more casually. For those who are interested in high refresh rates, know that at such prices you will end up with a TN panel that really has no comparison with IPS, and for me it would not be worth sacrificing the nice colors and HDR for 144 or 240hz and 1ms. My only complaint is the stand, which only has vertical movements and to some extent the volume has brought the monitor closer than I would like.
Update: Ps5 4k 60hz without freesync had screen tear, with freesync everything was perfect. I am absolutely satisfied with the monitor and I support what I said above that it is one of the best choices for next-gen consoles
