Indeed, the design takes you back 20 years, but personally, I bought it for 2 reasons:
1. Open listening, where you have 2 hands free and can do tasks simultaneously without straining your neck trying to support it on your ear.
2. I noticed that it has 3 lines of display and as I suspected, even if it's closed, it will show you the missed call, number, date, and time! So you know who called you and most importantly, when.
Additional features: The eco function that keeps the battery for 10 days with one charge, if you use it indoors and not outside in the yard, garden, etc. In other words, it should be close to the base. Additionally, it reduces exposure to radiation.
Negatives: I consider the ringtone options and volume to be average. In the older Panasonic model, I had speed dial for 9 numbers. I would open the phone, hold down, for example, the number 2 for a few seconds, and it would automatically call the number I had saved. Unless it exists here too, but I haven't discovered it yet. If anyone knows, please write it here in the review.
After a few months of use, the keys fade as well as the color except for black, and when the phone is used in spaces that are not adequately heated and have humidity, it needs to exert great pressure for the keys to function, the call sound in terms of intensity is moderate.
If you exclude the fact that it came with instructions in Spanish,... excellent. maybe a little more volume for the elderly
If you want something simple and affordable, it's the best. If you want color screens and technology, dig deeper into your pocket
It doesn't have very good sound quality, but it has very good open listening, which is why I got it; it's the best for value for money. I hope the battery lasts over time
As for the sound quality, it's great both when it rings and when you talk, but I don't know if some interference that occurs during a specific call is due to the device or the other person's device. Definitely a downside is the lack of user instructions in Greek
Returned back to Panasonic after owning a Philips wireless phone, you just cant go wrong, one star removed due to echo when using ( the very loud ) speakerphone option but this might be due to the Vodafone land line I have and not the dec.
It displays the same problem as the previous counterparts of the same company, the headset gets stuck and the sound cannot be heard by the interlocutor.
Honest device, ideal for its cost. In our time, landline phones are not used so much. I believe it meets average needs and more.
After a few days of use, the speaker is already malfunctioning, resetting the date and time three times already. Simply unacceptable
The phone is functionally flawless and highly durable (I had the same model for over 10 years). However, on one hand, the poorly lit screen and on the other hand, the small letters make it difficult to use, even prohibitive for elderly individuals. It is the second one I buy for my parents, specifically to pair with the base of the first one I bought and have it in the bedroom (so the base of the new one is only for charging).

"First of all, I clarify that I bought and set up this wireless phone for my elderly parents. Since their previous one had a problem and needed immediate replacement. So, this particular purchase was made relatively quickly, keeping their needs in mind, not mine.
OK, let's start from the beginning.
When the wireless phone arrived, I already had fully charged AAA batteries ready. As soon as I put them in, the battery indicator showed only one bar. I read in the manual (which I downloaded in English and Greek from the internet) that the battery indicator may not be accurate every time the batteries are changed until 7 hours have passed (which they consider a full charge). Well...
As soon as it turned on for the first time, a language menu appeared, so I selected Greek directly.
I put it on the base, which is not very stable, and I didn't receive any sound or visual message or notification that it was charging (no sound, the screen didn't light up, and the battery indicator bars didn't flash at least). The only indication that it was charging was finally a message on the screen, which I still don't understand in Greek, to be honest. Luckily.
The screen is backlit, but ultimately small, as well as the characters and numbers displayed on it, which are smaller than I would like (I have no complaints from my parents, for now).
The menu is outdated and not intuitive at all, but how many times will you have to enter the menu for settings, etc., right?
I entered some numbers in the directory so that the names would appear directly from the caller ID, no problem except that I still don't know how (or if) you can enter names with Greek characters.
The keys are quite soft to the point of being unclear.
From testing during phone calls, the sound of the handset is fine, you can hear and be heard, so that's the most important thing.
It has some ringtones, nothing noteworthy, but it gets the job done.
The ringtone volume could have been 2 clicks louder at maximum, it's not an issue for a quiet small or medium-sized apartment/house, but it will definitely be an issue for larger apartments/houses or in noisy environments.
I have no comments on the range (I have used 20 wireless phones in this specific area from various brands and models, it has never been an issue) or the battery life of this device, given that it is regularly placed on the base.
Bottom line, personally, I would not buy it for my own use under any circumstances, regardless of the price. Also, if I had known it was like this from the beginning, I would have preferred to buy one of the cheaper Gigaset phones (at least I have bought such phones for myself and I know what they are like) because it would have done at least 2-3 basic things without any practical difference from this Panasonic phone. If I wanted to stick with Panasonic, I would go for the more expensive model and that would be the end of it."
It is the second Panasonic KX-TG2511 I buy, this time for the country house, in metallic gray (the previous one was the same model in blue). I have bought many cordless phones from different companies. The KX-TG2511 is flawless in terms of functionality and ease of use, the best I have ever bought. I have had this one for 3 months. The sound, the keys, the speakerphone, and the range all work perfectly. The screen has normal size letters and numbers (but probably not suitable for the elderly / presbyopic).
With the ECO mode activated and with daily use of 2-3 hours, it needs to be charged every 10-12 days.
The other KX-TG2511 that I have (the blue one) has been in my possession for a year. It works just as flawlessly, without any problems at all!
If I had to mention something negative about this cordless phone, the user manual is only in Italian (it is available online in Greek) and its menu is not the easiest to navigate (I set up the ECO activation, ringtone, and volume once and didn't touch it again).
Just received it, so I can't say much yet, but it seemed quite user-friendly to me. The only negative thing that annoyed me is that it doesn't have a manual in Greek, not even in English, only in Italian. Anyway, I easily found it online, here is the link for anyone interested:

Quite good and affordable for its price, it also has an open listening feature while in eco mode the battery performance is even better!
This particular phone is really worth its money. I bought it in gray metallic and its color is very beautiful. It has a very good microphone and speaker, a bright screen, and a very good range even in eco mode. You don't need much for the 25 euros it costs. It seems durable in terms of construction and the buttons are very easy to press. It's definitely worth it at this price. Also, as soon as I opened it, it gave me the option to choose the language I wanted and I immediately set it to Greek.
Just received it. The phone is very high-quality in almost everything, but! It doesn't have an alarm clock, it doesn't save any numbers from those who called me except missed calls, and it even came with an Italian manual!!! Personally, if I had known, I wouldn't have bought it. If you're not interested in these things, it's a beautiful and very high-quality device, so feel free to buy it. I'm returning it.

The manual is in Italian. Fortunately, the manual in English is available for free download on the internet.
I have the impression that it amplifies a little and I hear my voice when I speak. Otherwise, it seems like a decent phone and the battery lasts a long time.
It does not have quick access from the menu to missed calls and call history. Its battery is very satisfactory, it has not been discharged despite being off the base for several hours.
We have it for 5 years and so far it has made its money and more, it has also had some glitches, it didn't understand anything, only the keyboard started to not work properly, but with the right replacement it will be as good as before
Very good phone, the speakerphone function works great. To exit the speakerphone function without ending the call, you simply press the button on the phone again, which you use to answer the call.
I had the equivalent previous model and chose this one now for the open hearing. The open hearing does not work - it makes noise, static, etc. The rest of the conventional things work fine. It's just that ultimately the previous one would do the same job and would be more economical.
I got it for an elderly person and from what they told me, it is the best device they have used in recent years.
The strange base that does not guarantee stability/charging and the small letters on the screen are the main disadvantages.
However, it seems to work fine and the cost is acceptable for its features.
So, it is a decent choice.
If I could, I would give it 2.5 stars. A simple phone with speakerphone. The ringtone is not loud enough and the characters on the small screen are not easily readable due to the size and font that does not change. In short, if you are looking for a phone for your parents or the elderly, get something better, they will not be satisfied. However, if you want a cheap phone for minimal use, then it does its job.

To disable speakerphone, simply press the "answer call" button and we can speak from the device.

The open listening and ringing suddenly stopped after a few months of operation.
From the first days, the open hearing was malfunctioning as when you press it a second time it does not return to the initial state or the opposite. In other words, it only works the first time you press it.
