The Puredry PDD 8519 Famous dehumidifier with desiccant technology takes advantage of the new Japanese dehumidification technology with sophisticated software. I have 2 of these dehumidifiers (one white & one black). The first one, which is mainly used in the bedroom (around 12.5 sqm), on the low setting (only 340 Watts consumption) reduces humidity very quickly and also heats up due to zeolite, giving about 1 degree of warmth. When it's not very cold, it works perfectly fine on its own for a pleasant sleep.
The second one, used in a larger space of about 60 sqm (living room & dining area), also reduces humidity relatively quickly, always on the low setting. It has the option of direct connection to the drainage system if you don't want to empty the container every now and then. However, it has a safety feature, and if you forget and the container gets full, it automatically stops working.
Overall, for a year now, both of them have been working exceptionally well, and we are very satisfied and highly recommend them!
Update 2022.12.25: One and a half years later, they still work equally effectively and without any problems!!! I wish there were many such Greek proposals in the market...
I give two stars only for the dealership's handling when the motor broke. Suddenly it burned out. The seller said that the filter had not been cleaned frequently and blamed it on that. I told him that it is unacceptable and left after paying €25 for the repair.
Because it wears out in two months and not 5-6 as they claim. However, because I wanted to see if it's true... I left it for 3 months without cleaning. It didn't suffer the slightest damage.
Result... Satisfied, but don't fall into their need...

I have had it in my possession for almost a month. I have it in the room where I sleep, and with the door of the room open, I would say it covers the whole house. Room 20 sq.m.
Very high-quality construction, very efficient, its performance and the amount of water it collects are noticeable right from the morning. I highly recommend it and confirm the positive comments I read before making the purchase.
Regarding the smell, which I had read in comments that it has during the first days of operation, nothing particular during the first days that if I hadn't read it, I wouldn't have noticed at all.
If you can connect it directly with a hose so that the water drains directly into the sewage or wherever else you have, it would be preferable. Otherwise, with its container, expect 1-2 emptying sessions daily, depending on the humidity that certainly exists in your space. I consider its water collection container small compared to the performance of the dehumidifier.
Regarding noise, for a room where you sleep, if you have it on low, it is bearable, but of course, it doesn't perform the same way. On auto, which is what I use, where it also goes to high, it makes more noise but of course has better and faster performance. Ideally, it would be best to have it in the living room and sleep in the bedroom with the door open, of course, to allow the space to communicate, that is, the atmosphere.
I have had it for about 1 month in a 55sqm apartment. I have indeed noticed a difference in humidity levels. The laundry mode has been very convenient for me. It dries clothes very quickly on rainy days when I can't have them outside. The noise is normal, but I'm not someone who is bothered by noises when I sleep, for example. It will show how long it will last and how functional it will remain, but I am quite satisfied with its performance so far.
I got it for a living room of 45-50 sq.m and 4.5 meters high - tall. The humidity in the space is 70% and from the first operation within 1.5 days it brought it down to 40-50. Obviously, it works. The smell of zeolite is nonexistent for me. The first negative is that it is not silent; on low it's okay, but on high, where it does most of the work, it is much louder than an air conditioner and has a somewhat different annoying sound, not like an air conditioner. The second negative is that I received it without a HEPA filter, only with a fine carbon filter. The description did not mention that the filter was not included. I contacted them via Skroutz and they sent me a filter. They should have included a HEPA filter. Although it states that with the HEPA, its capacity is reduced by 30%. The negatives that I knew about are that it does not have wheels and Wi-Fi. Sturdy construction. Extend the warranty to 5 years via the site.
I have two dehumidifiers pdd85300 for a year now in a house near the sea, they definitely work on the humidity issue but they smell quite a bit (the smell was there from the first day), in communication with the representative they asked me to take them to service, I sent them for inspection but they didn’t find any electrical-electronic malfunction now if I smell something it might be the plastics maybe the zeolite maybe the resistance but we can’t do anything because we made all the changes and didn’t find a problem, there the interest of the company ended and then they treated me like a difficult - strange - silly customer, in the tests they didn’t find a problem... (the fact that they smell to me doesn’t concern them at all) they clearly smell quite a bit, the philosophy of the representative is that the machines are excellent and that the customers don’t take care of them, they don’t listen to anything and that is the mistake

Very good moisture absorption with simultaneous gentle heating of the space. There is some noise depending on the setting.
Top dehumidifier. It collects all the moisture and at the same time dries the clothes that I have placed above it on wall hangers.
Effective especially at high power, but it is noisy. At low power, the noise is acceptable but the dehumidifying result is mediocre. Its tank is also relatively small. Overall, I consider it a very good purchase since it also has an ionizer; it remains to be seen how it holds up over time.

For me, it is not worth buying for a bedroom due to noise and moderate smell. I would recommend it for larger spaces.

Excellent, it changed the climate in the room. It does a very good job. I have another technology with a compressor, a good Philco, but it cannot be compared to this one. I find it economical because it saves electricity for heating. The ionizer activates with the slightest reason. I have a cat and it went to the toilet before it had a chance to smell, it started working and stopped in five minutes. I have no words!! It doesn't make noise, the noise is like the air conditioner, it doesn't bother me, you can easily sleep

Excellent dehumidifier, does its job satisfactorily. Small tank of course needs to be emptied twice a day and especially at the beginning more often. Not economical since it consumes 320 watts on low mode but it does the job. In a house with full humidity where the walls were dripping suddenly raised the temperature by 2 degrees and stopped our bones from hurting. Worth it but with a larger tank
Dehumidifiers with zeolite provide warmth in the house due to the nature of zeolite. The consumption at the low fan setting is around 350W. These 350W are returned to you as heat, as the air that comes out of the device has a temperature of around 35-38 degrees Celsius. Therefore, we are talking about winter always, you consume electricity to heat your house, which you would consume anyway (e.g. with an air conditioner), and you have free dehumidification. It is a quality construction, in addition to dehumidification, it cleans the atmosphere with the filter (don't forget to clean the filter once every 1-2 months) and it also has an ionizer.
It transformed the overall atmosphere of the house and significantly improved the feeling of warmth, helping the heating system to perform much more effectively. Even without heating, the house is warmer. The air it emits is slightly warm, which is also helpful. I highly recommend it. Note: It is important for the air emitted by the dehumidifier not to be cold (as it is naturally undesirable during the winter season). Dehumidifiers with zeolite, like this one, emit warm air, while those with a compressor emit cold air. Check this before choosing the type of dehumidifier. However, this particular one with zeolite is worth its money!
Perfect in everything, as the previous speakers write, with my objection that since it does not have a compressor, I expected it to be quieter since it makes a lot of noise on low for my taste.
Also, on skroutz it says 38db, while on the box the company writes 42db.
Nevertheless, it gets 5 stars with a question mark, as it heats the room to a temperature where you don't need to turn on the heating frequently, so you save from there as well.
The atmosphere it creates in a bedroom for sleep is amazing, set to Auto and 50% humidity.

Generally, I don't have much experience with dehumidifiers. But it does what it promises (unless it magically fills the container with water). Unfortunately, I don't have a humidity meter at home to compare it with anything. But the container fills with water in the promised time, so I believe it does its job. The most important thing is that it dehumidifies in a cold environment! You leave for work, you turn it on in the morning when the house is cold, and when you come back, you find it full. The only downside is that it's not very quiet on "low" setting. That's why I give it a 4/5
It is not by chance one of the most popular dehumidifiers.
I have been using it for two weeks, and the difference in the house is noticeable.
The settings it has are sufficient, and I leave it to work on its own when I leave the house.
In low mode, the noise is tolerable, but in high and laundry mode, it is obviously a bit louder.
Since I bought it in winter, it helps that it also emits slightly warm air. It took a few days to bring the humidity to acceptable levels in the house, as I had some issues in the bedroom, but nothing too serious.
In the first two or three days, it emitted the characteristic smell due to the zeolite, which bothered me a little, but now there is no trace of it.
Maintenance is easy and should be done 1-2 times a week for the filters.
It covers a fairly "large" space (80 sqm) wherever I place it.
The truth is that I constantly have it turned on, so the consumption will be evident when the electricity bill comes, but I have actually almost stopped using heaters since the space can easily be heated, etc., so it will pay off.

I say this because compressor dehumidifiers cover most cases!
Anyone who doesn't know the differences should refer to the internet to find out, so I don't have to write longer "essays" here.
So I will say that it does what it promises.
1) It is small, lightweight, and flexible, so you can move it to different rooms if you want.
2) It also emits warm air, so you avoid the situation where you might need a heater. Of course, we are talking about temperatures of 17-19 degrees; for lower temperatures, I imagine you would want to open something else as well.
3) So it is very convenient for nights, although it makes quite a noise for my taste, but compared to a compressor dehumidifier, it is acceptable.
4) The consumption is higher than a compressor, about 2 to 2.5 times, but it is normal considering what it offers, it's fine!
5) The "small" setting takes a long time to work and I wouldn't mind if it was completely silent!
6) In Max mode, it works wonders but it is very loud!
7) I would like to see the larger model to compare it with the large compressor one I have, but I will say that if someone knows why they choose a zeolite dehumidifier, it will satisfy them!
The only thing I would change is to have a smart mode option and to have a humidity range in which it works and one in which it doesn't.
And to have a sleep mode option with less noise (like the Morris one I have with a compressor). I don't know if the large model that is released has these options.
I would buy it again though.
I received it in November 22nd and the house I live in is in Arta, which means it has a lot of humidity. It's an old house with wooden frames, single glass windows, and so on. I have to say, it saved me. I have it placed between two rooms that communicate through a door, and it keeps the humidity at around 50% and the temperature constantly at 18° without any extra heating, creating a nice atmosphere. When drying clothes, they are ready in about 6 hours, if you change their position, of course, along with all the advantages it offers in terms of temperature and low humidity levels. Now, I also believe that zeolite is a better choice for dehumidification, especially for houses that don't have good insulation, etc. However, you can't use it during the summer because it releases hot air, so it's prohibited. Therefore, in my opinion, you should also have a compressor for the summer months. Oh, as for the noise, it's at tolerable levels. At low settings, I place it almost next to me and I sleep just fine. At high settings, it does make some noise, but it's okay. In conclusion, this machine is amazing and I highly recommend it, especially for winter.
Awesome machine, it does an excellent job with several hours of use and without any problems in the 2 years that I have had it. In high mode, as one might expect, it makes a little noise, but its result in terms of heat output, pleasant atmosphere it creates, and the savings in heating costs compared to regular heating have made it my favorite device during the winter months in my home with high humidity where I live.
I bought it very recently after a lot of searching. The previous one I had and was satisfied with was from Meaco. So I wanted to find a similar one with the same technology. It didn't even take 1 hour of use and immediately lowered the humidity levels in my house. I like that it has a handle for easy transportation. The water collection tank also has a handle, which I didn't expect. Very easy to use. It seems to be well-built. Very "quiet" in low mode, almost unnoticeable even if you're in the same room. It has various options for how the air flow is distributed. The control screen shows everything in detail, including the current room temperature.
I will never understand why some dehumidifiers release cold air, which logically negatively affects the temperature of the house, while on the contrary, with zeolite, a warmer atmosphere is created. Unfortunately, most stores try to promote those with a motor as a more effective solution, more energy-efficient, and less noisy, which I don't agree with.
It's also very positive that you can register your product online for warranty. The instruction manual guides you step by step. I know it's early to draw conclusions as I haven't used it for a long time, but I already see results and I'm impressed with its overall appearance. This particular one may not have wheels, but the handle serves its purpose as it's not too heavy. Others simply have recesses and are more difficult to transport. In conclusion, the comments of everyone here helped me in this choice and I'm glad they were 100% reliable.
I am very satisfied and highly recommend the product. If it had wheels and a larger bin, it would deserve more than five stars. The noise levels are tolerable for sleeping on the low setting. It effectively reduces humidity. It is lightweight.
