A return to the roots.
A very unique scent, not for everyone.. Bitter, filled with the bitter smell of cypress fruit and wet wood to complement it.
If it had an image, it would be the black and white photos in the family album that have been forgotten for years in the old village chest.
Closing, the soft musk and vetiver evoke these bittersweet feelings, of something beautiful that has passed and will not return.
Certainly not a fragrance for showtime, it is very introspective.
Its major drawback is its projection, which is small and for a short period of time.
Is it worth it???
I have already consumed 2 bottles of 100 ml and of course, I have a backup..
(The price is excellent)
*And a tip: Almost all fragrances perform better in duration, in NON high temperatures. This especially needs its coolness and humidity.

Unique scent, not heavy but more suitable for autumn and winter. It definitely smells like wet earth/wood, personally it gives me a somewhat "metallic" note in its fragrance, pleasant though, with a freshness. For the niche scent profile, full vfm.
I would like it to last a bit longer, the strong projection ends at 1 hour and in total on my skin it lasts 3.

It doesn't have anything amazing, mysterious, masculine, and all those hyperbolic things attributed to it in the reviews. If a good cleaning detergent for mopping with a fresh scent is the simple Johnie Walker Red, this is the Johnie Walker Double Black detergent. Nice, slightly successful but fake and excessive. It is exclusively for outdoor use in winter. Due to the price, 4 stars; otherwise, it would be for less.

Possible clone of Ombre Leather by Tom Ford. Very unique, not for everyone. It brings out the leather strongly, but not in an annoying way. At first I didn't like it, but as time goes by it becomes addictive. Not a common scent at all. However, I do not recommend blind buy under any circumstances.

Is there an affordable and good fragrance? Yes, there is and in my opinion, this is it.
After several disappointments from clones and CK-type fragrances, finally something wonderful.
No flowers, no fruits, no sweetness, just a classic Vetiver-type fragrance... It's definitely not easy for the masses... but that doesn't change the fact that it's wonderful.

Mysterious, different, but sharp. No sweetness. It doesn't resemble anything else, not even Pino Sylvester, etc.
It will cover all the other scents, lasts for hours. If it suits you, you will find it excellent.
It didn't suit me as it is today. I won't buy it again, even though it's worth it in terms of quality, unless I blend it with others.
It feels like something is missing for it to escape from this colorless state. If it were a photograph, it would be black and white with all the good and bad it has... Maybe the extreme version is more interesting than they say.However, it blends very well with a clone of Terre Hermes, which gives it the "color" it lacks. Yes, I would buy it again to blend it, for example, with Elode Freeland!
It becomes a completely different fragrance and finds the "color" it lacks.

It blends exceptionally well as a layer with Indonesian Oud from Ministry of Oud.
With 18+20 euros, with less than 40 euros for 100+100=200 ml, you get a fragrance that truly resembles a pandemonium!
This fragrance is suitable for blending with other fragrances, with "multicolored" woody scents.
By chance, I found an old FM clone that was a clone of the original version of Encre, and it was definitely something deeper, more aristocratic. As it is today, it is for layering with other fragrances.

Incredible fragrance. Most (positive) descriptions of the others express me perfectly.
Just a useful, I hope, observation that seems to be only mine: This fragrance has some interesting similarities to Rainforest Pino Silvestre. Not the Original Pino Silvestre but the one with the blue content in a gradation bottle. Scents with completely different ingredients but approaching the idea of a (wet) forest with a similar disposition. Both belong to the green/fresh category, with Encre Noire actually having a somewhat darker character as some said, but without significantly deviating from this category. I bought it blind buy after I had tried its Summer version (encre noire sport) a while ago and I liked it, and also because I had seen very good reviews for this fragrance. No resemblance to encre noire sport, heavier, more masculine, more unique. As a first impression, its scent doesn't resemble any other fragrance I have smelled, it reminded me of incense with wet soil. It is definitely recommended only for Winter, maybe also Autumn. I have already received compliments from the first time I wore it. I don't have an opinion yet on its longevity, but already after 3 hours of wearing it, it doesn't smell strong on me, at least. For its price, it is a fair choice, although I haven't tried the recently released parfum version. It suits better men over 30, I believe. If its longevity doesn't disappoint me (I want to see after hours if it smells on others, because even encre noire sport after 5-6 hours didn't smell on me but it smelled on others around me), I would buy it again. Before purchasing it, it would be good to smell it first because it has a unique scent that may not appeal to everyone (especially younger ages).

A small hand grenade made of cypress and cashmere... Heavy scent, perfect for winter and humidity. When you smell it, you feel like you're entering a forest of cypresses that has just rained! It is definitely not suitable for blind buying... it is for ages 35+. The bottle is very unique, high-quality, and beautiful. From compliments, people will either hate it or love it, there is no in-between. I have been told that I smell like a freshly made pastry, but I went to a café and all three girls from the buffet came out and started smelling me, saying that this scent doesn't exist! For the average price of €25 that it is sold, it is definitely worth it and more!

What a wonderful scent! But you're not wasting your money. Let's be honest, this fragrance was very strong, aromatic, and aristocratic, but after many reformulations, it is now a weak and watery product.
