I give it 3 stars only because I think it should be labeled for ages 4+. I believe there are too many pegs for a 3-year-old child. In my opinion, you should start with the primo mosaico from the same company first, which has larger and fewer pegs, and it even shows the color of the peg that should be inserted in each hole. This way, children have more patience because they can complete the animal faster. In this particular set, there are too many holes, and at least my child puts in a few pegs and gives up.
