This particular product exfoliates with aha, specifically glycolic acid. I have oily skin and had never used acids before this. I added it to my routine very carefully so that my skin could get used to it and I wouldn't have any problems. I think it does a good job of exfoliating. Personally, I believe exfoliating once a week is enough. After using it, I never forget to apply my sunscreen as exfoliation can make the skin sensitive to the sun.

I have used various acids and aha and bha without any problem, I don't know which ingredient in this one bothered me so much, but my skin got filled with redness and big under-the-skin pimples, I waited a little while and tried it again, same results. If you have sensitive skin, stay away!
