I got it as a gift for my wife here and for about six months now she's gone crazy... She doesn't want to, but she goes to the hairdresser because she does it better on her own
First time I write a review for a product but I really want to prevent anyone from buying it. I have it for only two years and two months (which means that the warranty expired only two months ago) following all the usage rules... something internal just broke, they told me at the service, there is no spare part so 270 euros went to recycling!!! It is really unacceptable that such an expensive machine cannot be repaired, especially when it is their fault!!!!
Of all the ones I have used, it does the best job. You definitely can't expect it not to damage your hair at all. As long as you use high temperatures, that's a given. However, because it works quickly, it definitely damages less than other straighteners.
I have curly hair and with two passes it straightened. I save a lot of time and now I feel like straightening it, something that in the past with other straighteners tired me. I use demineralized water and it doesn't need frequent refilling. If anything changes, I will come back.
Finally, I bought it! It is big and a bit heavy, but it does an amazing job! I only use demineralized water as it says, and even though I have thick and long hair, it straightens it quite quickly. My hair is soft and completely straight. It also has a built-in comb, but after the first use, I removed it because I think for the first straightening, when the hair is still wavy, it’s good to help separate the hair, but for it to become smooth, it helped to take it off. It is easy to use anyway, and you really feel that the hair doesn't get burned when you use it like with the classic straighteners. Okay, I wouldn't say it's economical, but I hope it pays for itself and lasts a long time and satisfies me.
It's amazing! It makes my hair smooth and soft without frizz. It's a bit heavy but it doesn't tire me out.
After 4 years of use, it was worth every penny. Like any heat press, it does put some stress on the hair, however, the quality of the plates combined with the steam provides significant protection to the hair! Ideal for straightening, and if the comb comes out too, it has a good result on curls!
After just 4 years of not very frequent and diligent use, it initially stopped producing steam, a fault that was repaired, and then all the indicators lit up and it stopped working. From the authorized service, I was informed that the fault concerns the component that dispenses the water and there is no spare part available. It is unacceptable for a device with this cost, which is still being sold, to have a significant component discontinued and to be forced to throw it away.
Although I read several reviews about hair breakage and that it isn't worth the money, I still thought about getting it for a long time, and after encouragement from a friend who is very satisfied, I did it. However, I might have had higher expectations. It definitely doesn't smell burnt like other straighteners, but it doesn't make my hair exceptionally smooth either; it leaves some breakage at the ends as seen in the photo. With my old simple straightener, when I woke up the next day, my hair was very soft; now when I wake up, it is very tangled and gets oily relatively quickly. As for the speed, I take the same amount of time as I did with my old simple straightener. Over time, it will show if it damages my hair; I leave the stars hoping that it indeed doesn't burn my hair.
If there was a -1, I would definitely give it. Don't buy it, wasted money. I took it to a specialized service and they told me that the nozzle burned out and there are no spare parts available. I had it for 2 years, I took very good care of it, I used only deionized water and I used it once a week. Those 250 euros are now in the recycling bin. They sell very expensive devices without any spare parts available, unacceptable. Prefer a budget option a thousand times because this one damages the quality of the hair.
The best thing I have ever bought! WORTH 100% the money. Don't hesitate. Finally, I'm not afraid to straighten them out for fear of burning them. Minimal damage to the hair. I have loved it. It makes my hair shine and keeps it straight for days!
It straightens the hair perfectly and in half the time that regular straighteners require, and you don't need to go over the hair again (because with other straighteners I had to go over it a second time) and the result lasts many days! It definitely needs heat protection, but it's worth the money.
I have very thin and fragile hair that frizzes at the slightest touch. No conventional straightener has managed to straighten my hair properly in the past. I would spend hours struggling and after a short while, my hair would break and look terrible. Only with the steampod, my hair not only straightens perfectly, but it also looks smooth and healthy, and the result lasts for days without needing to go over it two or three times. I give it 4 stars because it's not as good at creating curls and also because if the strands are not in the center of the plates but move to the edges, it pulls and hurts.
How is it that when I tried the 1 it made them silky smooth and this expensive one the exact opposite such a big difference?
I do not advertise products and I am not accustomed to leaving negative comments, but I had to write this as I have never made a worse purchase! Unfortunately, it does not straighten my hair, it only creates frizzy curls. I have been straightening my hair for many years. I have used many straighteners and have never encountered any problems as I have very easy hair (it straightens and curls easily). This product definitely does not deserve its price. I do not recommend buying it.
Unfortunately, it is unsuitable for fine hair like mine. The hair breaks much more in the following days after using the tool compared to anything else I have used. Also, the result does not last on my hair.
Always use the heat protection product on your hair before use and make relatively quick passes on the hair so as not to damage it. Personally, I have not been able to curl my hair with the steampod. I don't know if any skill is required, so I use a curling iron for curls.
I bought the steam pod 3 and over time it suddenly stopped working! I took it to the authorized service center for repair and they told me that the circuit board burned out! I contacted the company and they told me that they do not accept the purchase proof from the eshop, which was sent to me by the store where I bought it, but only the retail purchase receipt!!! I asked them how it is possible for a hair straightener to break within a year, and their answer was that machines can break from one moment to another!!! The result is that I wasted 250 euros within a year!!! Unfortunately, if your device breaks, there is a big problem with the service
It does its job very well.
One thing I don't understand is why everyone complains about hair damage. It is absolutely normal for hair to get damaged and split ends to occur regardless of the frequency of use of any such tool, it just appears sooner or later depending. This applies to hair dryers and cheaper straighteners as well. Heat in general is not good for the hair, just like very hot water, as it opens the hair cuticles and causes damage.
Finally, the comb can be easily removed, it is not necessary to use it for straightening.
I have had it for 2 years and it stopped working, of course, the usage I gave it was not daily and I took care of it a lot. For me, if a product is going to break after 2 years and you have to pay a lot for it, it's not worth the money.
Since I started using it, my hair started breaking and it is very damaged! Smoke comes out whenever it wants!! And the plates pull and break the hair!! I totally regret it! Not worth it at all! It has been in the drawer for a year and I am using my old one again.
It's perfectttt, it straightens my hair in 7 minutes while the old one took me 30 to 45 minutes.. It heats up immediately, worth its money.. The only negative thing for me is that it makes my hair very straight and they don't have volume, they get oily in 2-3 days while with the old one I managed to keep them for 6 days without getting oily.. because in general I don't have an issue with oiliness..
Although it leaves a slight frizz, it does an amazing job that lasts and, unlike a regular straightener, it flattens the hair better. The only negative thing is that it is heavy, although this guarantees good quality of materials
I have thin, brittle hair and it ruined my ends... The only thing worth it was the heat protectant from the series. I believe these tools are worth it for difficult hair with thick strands. They didn't work for me, not to mention they were quite heavy to hold. With my old flat iron, I do a better job and it cost me 1/5 of the price.
In whichever hair salon I have told that I have a steampod, they have told me that it is the best tool. It doesn't damage the hair at all, nothing. I use it 2-3 times a week. It is worth every last euro.
I have the steam pod 2, I had it for four years satisfied but not for its price. One day suddenly it stopped working, all the lights were flashing. I took it to their service (of course I had to pay for the repair because it wasn't covered by the warranty). Naturally, I didn't even see it because there are no spare parts available, so you spend so much money on a straightener and if something happens to it, you throw it away! I was very disappointed when you sell something so expensive, it is unacceptable to not have spare parts! Be careful, there are none available, so think carefully before buying it! 250 euros go to waste! And I was thinking of buying the new one before this one breaks! Stay away
It's worth every euro I spent!! I admit that I was hesitant to buy it because of its price, but in the end, I took the risk and I couldn't be more satisfied!! Perfect straightening, for the first time I achieve salon-like shiny hair at home (I have curly hair). Even in humid and rainy conditions, my hair stays in place, it doesn't puff up or frizz!! With the proper use (straightening small sections with just one slow pass), I believe it doesn't damage the hair too much, and it doesn't leave a burnt smell like other straighteners.
Wonderful straightener, the only one that gives my hair shine and 100% worth every euro. I should mention that if your hair is already damaged, it won't make it look like a model, it is honest about what it is: a steam press
Unfortunately, I will agree that it is overrated and for no reason does it deliver what it promises. The worst part, however, is that it severely damages the hair and leaves it dehydrated
7 years, I dropped it on the floor, even though it loses a little steam, it continues to work perfectly. My hair gets oily, I don't know what's causing it, maybe at some point I used a hair product that I shouldn't have.
It's worth every euro! Hair salon straightener that lasts for days. When I had long hair, I could straighten it in 20 minutes, and with a bob, it takes less than 10 minutes. I have been using it for 2 years, and there is no damage to the hair if you use the special products. Also, the machine still works like new. A hairdresser once told me that it's the Ferrari of straighteners, incredibly accurate!
