Do you have a TV Box or Smart TV and are tired of typing with the remote control? Here you are...that's it...don't look at anything else. Seriously guys, this little gadget is incredible...it's one of those little gems that you buy cheaply...you think, oh well, let me give it a try...and as you use it, you smile with joy at how well it works. The build quality is just OK, don't expect much, it's a lightweight plastic after all, you'll use it on beds and sofas anyway, not for playing ball with it. As for its functionality, it's very good both as a keyboard and as a touchpad. It has a QWERTY keyboard (Greek characters are not displayed on the keys), convenient shortcuts with the fn key, and 3 different buttons to click on the mouse depending on where your hands are each time. The keys are not completely silent but they don't bother either. You can use it either with its rechargeable battery or with 2 AAA batteries, which is very convenient because let's face it...with its price, it won't come with a top battery, but the point is that if it breaks, you don't throw it away or search for a replacement (which is usually difficult with Chinese gadgets)...you just insert your own batteries and use it. It operates at a frequency of 2.4 GHz, so it is compatible with most devices. The package includes the keyboard and the USB adapter, a short mini USB cable for charging, the rechargeable battery, and some very simple instructions that are not particularly detailed for you to read all its functions. Finally, I left out the backlight, which is worth every penny. Nice lighting, strong, with the option to choose a steady color or RGB mode. With the fn+f2 keys, you can switch between 3 colors, blue, red, and green. By holding down the fn key and dragging the touchpad, you can also select 4 additional colors (purple, yellow, blue, and white). To activate the RGB mode, hold down the f2 key and drag the touchpad with your finger. At such a price, I don't think there is anything better...it's definitely worth a try! Happy shopping!
There are probably different versions circulating (or mine is faulty) as I bought it for SMART TV control and encountered the following problems on a Samsung Led smart tv 2018 with tizen os.
I can't keep a backlight color: either I choose one of the RGB functions that are so "techno" and bright that it's like a disco ball, or I turn it off.
In the youtube application of the smart tv: some letters ("e", "x", "del", "ctrgr", etc.) either don't register or when you press them, they produce incorrect characters.
In Netflix & Browser applications, the keyboard and navigation work relatively fine.
The dedicated media buttons, volume, mute, menu, etc. also don't work on the tv, you have to find the corresponding F8, F9, etc. keys.
I would return it, but with a cost of 5 euros, it's not worth paying for shipping.
On the positive side:
- It is indeed small and lightweight.
- It has two battery options (its own lithium or 2 AA).
- The price
Perfect, if someone has found out how to change the language from Greek to English, please share it. It only writes in Greek. I tried all the shortcuts.
For €9 including shipping, I’m not debating it, you can't get anything better. 1000mAh battery that I don't know how long it lasts but it's rechargeable, very nice clicky buttons and the touchpad is decent.
This is the third one I’ve bought (the damn things last forever).
The device came without the classic Nokia battery without lithium slots (to use at least the ones I had) and just had slots for 2 AAA batteries as you can see in the 2nd photo.
The worst part is that it drains alkaline batteries in 2 days, and I might be exaggerating.
With rechargeable ones, it needs charging depending on the batteries and usage 1 to 2 times a month and works perfectly just like the first two I had bought.
Nevertheless, I believe that without a battery, which I might have just gotten unlucky with, it was a scam, just like the micro USB port on it which is a dummy, it’s not even connected and I can’t charge the rechargeables without taking them out and putting them in an external charger.
2 stars and that’s generous because it is durable and functional with rechargeables.
It’s not cheap, and even though I’ve seen it for 3 euros, if you need to use it, you’ll have to buy batteries and a charger for another 10 euros.
If I didn’t already have rechargeables and a charger, I would have requested a return...
For the money, it's okay; the only thing I haven't managed to do is change colors from blue to another one that shows, but it doesn't bother me; I use it on the PS4
The battery lasts a really long time. I've had it for almost two years and it's super convenient. Perfect solution, perfect gadget; as a lazy person, I consider it essential in my home
Perfect, at this price, one cannot have greater expectations. The battery lasts a long time and when not in use for a while, it goes into sleep mode. I would like it to have a button to activate the lights on the keys. We all need one of these and we don't know it.
Excellent, it works exactly like a keyboard, even for switching languages. The touchpad is much more user-friendly than others I have tried. With a little practice, it flies. Of course, the quality is clearly low, but at this price, you don't expect anything else. The only question is how long it will last.
Outstanding
It arrived with a torn package, obviously opened and used (possibly from a return). Okay, the battery just didn't fit well, it needed a little surgery. It works perfectly with Xiaomi Mi box and an old Technika SmartTV
I give five stars just for the price; with this money, you get much more than you pay for. As many others have written, it does its job, so it is extremely value for money!
It does the job just fine, economical, moderate construction. The truth is I was expecting something bad but fortunately it is decent..connected immediately and easy to handle...
Well. I have used 2 other minikeys from a different company (sanio) so far. Both of them were of very low construction quality and they did their job for no more than a year. Then, some buttons and keys started not working, the trackpad may not have had a very good response, etc.
Of course, I didn't expect much more from products that cost 5-10 euros, they did their job and I always had in mind that I would replace them in 1-2 years.
This particular one lasted 1 day...
I can't know if I made any mistake myself, so far all the minikeys I had were plug and play, meaning I connected the usb and they started working. This one, worked fine, as soon as I connected it the first day and the second day, nothing.
I have connected it to 3 devices and it doesn't work on any of them. I have tried putting in and taking out batteries, connecting it to different usb ports, even updating the drivers for the usb ports (if possible)... nothing.
If anyone has any suggestion for me to try to fix it, okay, but its rating won't go above 3 stars, because even if it eventually works, compared to the previous ones, it has disappointed me.
Given the proportions regarding its size, it is an excellent small device that performs perfectly for what it is intended: a small keyboard for your living room or bed. It is made of relatively cheap material and therefore requires special handling and care. However, it has a very special function to fulfill, and in this field, it excels, especially in its mouse function, where similar devices usually suffer. In this case... congratulations to the Chinese who invented it...
You don't get it to write fast, but neither for the quality construction. In my case, I got it because I wanted to relax on the couch and watch movies, videos, and much more on the TV (which is connected to the PC)
Good plastic but bad electronics. I had it for 3 months and it was working fine, but one day the contact for the battery just came off. I soldered it back on and after 3 months it started not registering my movements on the touchpad and had a delay of more than 3ms
Unfortunately, I was expecting to receive a rechargeable controller as shown in the pictures, but I received one with batteries. I will have to keep it because I need it urgently, but I would have liked to receive what I ordered. ☹️
It is incredibly convenient. Don't expect any amazing plastic quality, but it is a sturdy construction. The battery lasts quite a while (it has a battery similar to old Nokia phones). It's perfect for speakers or a media center PC. Obviously, you won't write an essay on it, but that's not its purpose. It would be perfect if there was a model that could program the volume buttons of the TV (like some other remotes), but for the price of a pack of cigarettes, I can't complain.
The ultimate value for money. Don't expect fantastic build quality, if you start pulling buttons they will come out. For its price, it does everything and it's worth it, otherwise you have to spend a lot of money for something that does what this does. Keyboard and mouse, wireless, rechargeable battery, and a backlit feature that you can turn on and off at will so you don't have to search for the Delete key in the dark. You can use it wherever you want, for PC, TV, if it has USB and functions "like a computer" it will probably help you! I bought two so that if one breaks I don't have to search to see if the model is still available. Nothing has happened to the first one yet!
Good keyboard, it helps a lot for smart TVs or TV boxes that I have connected. It gives me a bit of trouble because I was used to the Savio keyboard that has the keys (trigger) on the top, which fell once and the triggers broke, that's why I got this one. It seems good, time will tell.
I use it with an old laptop that I have connected to a smart TV instead of a TV box, and it does its job perfectly. For its price, it is excellent. It is used from a distance of 3m.
Very useful! It is a cheap construction but it serves you well. It has beautiful colors in the lighting. It saves energy. On the second day, I couldn't close the battery cover, but I used duct tape... haha
There are similar products on the market, but this one excels in the fact that you can comfortably type in the dark even if you don't know the blind system ;-)
So far, it is very good. It is the version with non-rechargeable batteries. I will come back later because in the past I had bought the same one with a rechargeable battery and it had swollen
I got it for my 10-year-old LG smart TV because it was somewhat inconvenient to navigate the cursor on YouTube, search for videos, etc.
Fantastic little tool. No more tedious selection of each letter individually on the keyboard.
It works from 4m away, comfortably.
The touchpad is nice, and the click is good too.
Excellent value for money!
