  Having read various comments about this particular model as well as its cheaper counterparts in the same series, I had already clarified in my mind what "issues" I would encounter.

  Specifically, the power supply and the volume.
  For the power supply, I used a Samsung one that I had left over from a mobile phone without any problems, and for the volume, I used the dual-use on/off - volume switch located on the converter. (This way, the adjustment of the sound volume is done manually only from the converter, after you have first selected the audio output through the optical digital audio cable from the TV's settings menu.)

  The TV that I connected the converter to is the LG 28TL510S-PZ and the headphones are Sony WH-1000XM4.

  Conclusion: in my case, it does what it promises at a very reasonable price.

  It does its job as promised, converting digital to analog signal. Easy and affordable solution for connecting a television to an old sound system.

  Pros:
  +Price.
  +Many inputs/outputs.
  +Amplifier volume adjustment.

  Cons:
  -No power supply included in the package, it receives power from the television (via USB). The result is that when you turn on/off the television, you get a "boom/crack" sound from the speakers (because the transformer turns on/off). It used to happen on old televisions when changing channels! The solution is a mobile charger if it bothers you.
  -Lower sound volume compared to the internal transformer of the old television (probably also sound quality, but I didn't notice anything).

  Very good DAC. I connected its optical input to the TV output and its RCA output to my stereo's. Now I easily enjoy amazing sound from the stereo. I wonder how such an affordable DAC produces such quality sound. The only downside is that it doesn't have a remote control. It would be convenient since my stereo doesn't have one.

  It does the job it promises and it seems like it will do it for a long time. The power light is a bit annoying because it is too bright. It has a metallic construction, not cheap plastic. There is a slight delay in sound conversion, which is not bothersome (I imagine any converter would have a delay), but you cannot have the TV playing simultaneously with the selected output source because they are not synchronized. Recommended.
