I use it solely for Plex server and it works great. I have tested and it plays 1080p movies smoothly on a local network. The navigation in the Plex menu is not very fast, but there are no issues during playback. I haven't watched movies remotely with Plex, but I tested it with a 100 Mbps VDSL connection and playback on mobile worked perfectly fine.

It is an excellent choice in terms of security and quality. I highly recommend it. Easy menu and installation. Fast in recording and reading. Stable without interruptions.

After Synology, just chaos! People have taken the software part to another level, which really isn't worth seeing anything different...

I use it as a file server at home. It never gets stuck, it always connects directly to both the TV and the computers. I have even set up my mobile devices to send all the photos there for backup... and from there, they are backed up to OneDrive cloud! Similarly, I can easily receive/send files either through the computer at work or through mobile devices. Overall, the whole environment is very well-structured... quite user-friendly and understandable, and most importantly, it is frequently upgraded!

It is used as a camera recorder.
It records 4 cameras in 2k resolution.
I have not encountered any problems.
Synology applications are among the best.

It's perfect... except for the screws that come with the case and don't "fit" in the frame to close it properly (I had to use sellotape on top as if we were living in 1998).

Especially in hyper backup, which serves as a backup solution, it saves you time. Next purchase will be a Synology 4-disk. Well done, Synology. (and use better screws, Synology)

Very good choice for simple (and not only) use either as a file server or as a multimedia server. DSM has many options and apps. I have had it for 3 months and it works perfectly (with a 3TB IRONWOLF). The only issue I face is with hibernate, where it suddenly operates without use and then goes back to hibernate. However, I believe it is some logs running or automatic updates. It needs investigation..

I have bought 2. One for home use and one for daily backup at the office. It has automations and free software for recording (with tp link tapo camera). It's perfect with the ironwolf 4TB

The best value for money. Silent. I use it for simple file sharing and streaming and it has not disappointed me.
Does not come with a disk. I clarify this because everyone wonders. Generally, know that when you buy such products they come "empty".

Owner for about three weeks. First NAS storage both from this company and in general.

For the use I want, a typical backup on the disk and streaming to the TV through the media DLNA server it has, it works great. It also plays external subtitle files normally.
I think it's definitely great for home use and maybe for a small office.
