I bought it to provide Bluetooth connectivity to a mini stereo I have in the office. Contrary to what others have said, it connected immediately with 2 pairs of headphones (TOSHIBA & SONY) and provided good sound quality (excellent for its price). It also connected as a receiver to my mobile phone (Samsung) and laptop (HP), and provided very good sound to the stereo. Luckily, my device has a USB port, so I plugged it in to power it without needing an extra 5V power adapter. The sound travels to/from the Bluetooth via the 3.5mm jack. Of course, every time it switches roles from receiver to transmitter and vice versa, I have to change the jack from the headphone output of the stereo to the AUX input (and vice versa). In short, excellent value for money.

I have not been able to connect it anywhere yet, no device recognizes it. Neither mobile nor laptop. I am doing exactly what the manual says. Either it is broken or I am not doing something right. If I find a solution, I will update.

Elias, these USB devices are meant to be connected to your mobile phone, tablet, laptop, PC, etc., and with the 3.5mm jack output, you can send the signal to headphones or to the aux input of a final amplifier, which will then play through your speakers. I have a similar USB device in my Octavia 5. I provide it with 5V USB power from my car, connect it to my phone, and connect its output to the corresponding female aux input in my car. I switch my car stereo to AUX, and whatever I play on my phone is heard very well through the car speakers. For their price, these devices are very good and useful.

I bought it to connect wireless Bluetooth headphones to my PS4. Unfortunately, it doesn't sync with either the SONY WH-CH510 wireless headphones or the Samsung Bluetooth Headset MG920. However, the box does state that it is compatible with headphones
