It was pretty good for as long as it worked. After a few months of use, the remote control stopped working. Only the on-off button and the TV buttons work. Essentially, it is useless now unless you get up every time to change the channels from the receiver. One additional thing that bothered me, mainly because I have it in the bedroom TV, was the very bright and large LED on its screen which did not turn off when it was in the off mode as it continued to show the time. Of course, this can be somewhat fixed if you cover the screen.

  The device arrived carefully packaged.
  When it was turned on, all the channels were pre-programmed.
  Which means it must have been functioning somewhere else for some unknown period.
  It’s impossible for it to come from the manufacturing factory with the Greek channels pre-programmed…
  Due to its low cost, I didn't bother to investigate further…
  In terms of size, it is very small and has a simple, beautiful design.
  Compared to an older Crypto decoder, it picked up the channels with better signal quality.
  The signal strength and quality indicators are almost at 100% for all channels, while with the Crypto, they were a bit lower.
  The picture is also slightly clearer and with a bit more vibrant colors.
  We’re talking small differences… it doesn’t make your old OLED TV.
  The EPG works flawlessly and quickly displays all the information regarding the program and content of each channel.

  1. It has a very good signal. In the city where I live, everyone has a signal booster for the antenna. However, as I found out, the decoder also plays a role in the signal. Because with the old decoder, I had the antenna booster at maximum and still the signal did not reach 100%. With this decoder and the antenna booster at minimum, the signal reaches 100%!
  2. As a result, it has a much better picture, without interruptions, and picks up some extra channels, mainly radio.
  3. All of its functions work perfectly while it is also small in size.
  Negatives
  1. The remote control is not flat, meaning it does not have the same thickness everywhere. So when someone is not holding it but has it on the table, it has a tilt towards the front part. Therefore, it is not very stable and thus not very user-friendly. (As you can see in the photo, I stuck a bit of foam to make it level.)
  2. It does not display the start and end times of each program in the initial info bar that automatically appears at the bottom of the screen every time the channel changes. It lists them either on the second page of the info (separately for the current and next program) or in the EPG where due to the layout they are not easily distinguishable. This means that one does not have an easy preview of when the current program ends and when the next one starts.

  We set it up, the setup is good, the remote control is good, but it doesn't pick up channels like ANT1, etc., ERT sometimes it picks up, sometimes it doesn't. I got fooled by the reviews...

  So since you want details for the review to be useful, well, I am near Thessaloniki in an apartment. The old decoder I had worked perfectly, but unfortunately, it burned out during a power outage. So I got this one, as I mentioned, after being swayed by the overly positive reviews and the relatively low price. Direct tuning doesn’t work. I tweak the settings, and we end up picking up ERT, Star, Mega, and a few small local channels. At first, ERT, Star, and Mega play okay, at least for the couple of hours I tested. However, if I switch from small channels and Nickelodeon to ERT, for example, then the signal breaks and may never come back. I changed the cable, nothing. Another TV, smaller but with its own decoder, worked perfectly with the same cables.

  The HDMI connection indeed has amazing picture quality. But the scart connection doesn't work. I tried another cable. I tried another receiver with the same cable and it worked. I'm leaving room for the possibility that I might be doing something wrong, but I don't see what it could be. Either way, I will use it for whatever works, I don't want to bother with changing it for 20 euros.

  UPDATE. Eventually, what happens is that the scart doesn't work when it's connected to HDMI, but it works as soon as you disconnect the HDMI connection. Although it has both scart and HDMI outputs, they don't work together. Stars from 3 out of 4.

  I am truly surprised by the positive reviews for this device, which led me astray and cost me 18€. After a literal great frustration regarding the channel tuning, I decided to conduct an experiment. I installed the decoder on a television with an mpeg4 receiver, which means the same antenna and cables. The decoder tuned in only half of the channels that the television did and mainly missed some of the HD ones. Pay an extra 5€ to get the job done. I don't know if I will bother returning it. I give it a second star because it only cost 18€ and my loss is not significant.

  I have only seen such picture quality on 4K and above televisions.   I bought it mainly for the reviews and the remote control. I connected the remote control to the TV following instructions from someone on YouTube, and now I only use the receiver's remote control.   Excellent! Rarely do you buy a product with so little money while it's worth twice as much...
  The only "drawback" is that it doesn't have weekly recording programming. It only has it once and for daily recording. In all other aspects, it's a star, I highly recommend it.
