Assault backpack from the Tac Maven series by Pentagon with molle system & 55-liter capacity.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
The only unique objection is that the zippers are with cords and you can't actually lock them with a padlock
Very spacious and particularly durable.
I have had it for years and it has not shown any wear either at the seams or at the zippers.
The TacMaven bag I bought for military use has proven to be an excellent choice so far. Its build quality is truly outstanding – it is sturdy and durable, ideal for tough use. Despite appearing to have fewer liters externally, it surprisingly has a lot of space inside, allowing me to store a large number of items without any issues.
It sits perfectly on the back and remains stable during movement, while its front straps help with optimal fit, making it even more comfortable to use. It is also particularly practical thanks to the many pockets it offers, and there is the option to hang additional items in pockets, which I find very useful for various activities like climbing or hiking.
Although I haven't used it for long yet, it has fully satisfied me so far. I hope it proves to be durable and long-lasting, which time will tell. Buy it without hesitation
I used it in the army. It fits clothes for days and you can put a sleeping bag and a sleeping pad (both together) on the sides
Purchased for €30 in February 2019 for military service. Since then until today, it has endured a lot and shows no signs of wear. It has completed military service, I have taken it with me on many mountain excursions, long hikes with loads much heavier than the manufacturer's recommendations. It has faced rain, dirt, and a lot of sand from the beach during the summers. I also use it for short trips by plane as it fits quite a bit for a few days and you can take it with you in the cabin without having to pay for luggage. The only "wear" I have noticed is that after so many years and hardships, the zippers have become a bit stiffer, which personally does not bother me at all. When it breaks, I will buy it again.
After 5 years of heavy use
I can say that it is a very reliable bag
With some occasions carrying a load of 25 kilograms.
Unfortunately, my experience with this specific bag was not the best. I bought it because I travel frequently abroad and I only travel with a backpack. The positive aspects were definitely that it could fit a lot of things and had many pockets. However, from the first few days of owning it, the top part started to tear due to the weight (something that should withstand since it is military-grade). And after 2 years, the zippers completely broke. So, the 10 years that they told me in the store that it would last probably meant for light weight and not much strain, which doesn't exist according to my standards. It's not very bad, but it definitely didn't last as long as they told me. A few days ago, I switched to a Quechua bag since they confirmed that it has a 10-year warranty if anything happens to it!
It was purchased for 40 euros and I can say that it is the best value for money. Very good quality construction, plenty of compartments in every area of the backpack and comfortable, I would say.
It is not 52L, but it is an extremely spacious bag. It may have more straps than you would like for everyday use, but they are easily removable. The zippers are of poor quality, but I hope they will hold up.
Very satisfied. Exactly as I expected, and even more. I have nothing to add compared to other previous reviews here. Waiting for an update after demanding use to see how it will hold up!
1st Update:
- You can carry 10 kilos with relative ease and it really fits a lot of things, if you utilize the space correctly. The chest and waist straps not only help stabilize the volume, but also help distribute the weight better and relieve it from the shoulders.
- In heavy rain, a little water leaks from the zippers. I don't know if a waterproofing spray would solve or reduce the problem. I'm not deducting a star as I didn't read anywhere that it is waterproof.
- I've taken it everywhere. It hasn't worn out at all and it doesn't get dirty. Maybe the color camouflages the dirt.
I bought it as an emergency bag and it is excellent, initially I thought it wouldn't fit many things because it looked "compact", but it fits more than enough and it is durable and sturdy. The color is also very beautiful and its zippers are of good quality.
Quality bag with plenty of compartments. The straps help a lot to adjust it on you during transportation. My only objection, as I read from others who commented, is that it doesn't reach a space of 52lt. Around 35 to 38, that's why I will deduct one star. Overall, though, it is worth its money.
Very good product quality, plenty of compartments and versatile backpack. I would prefer a reinforced bottom with some hard material. Otherwise, perfect....
Excellent quality!
No comparison with cheap Chinese. It seems like it will last a long time.
Ample space with plenty of compartments!
5/5
Excellent quality materials. The space is sufficient to enormous. It has back and waist straps for better support. I would buy it again.
The bag is very durable, it has adjustable straps everywhere, it can fit more things than the photos show, and anatomically it is the best I have tried so far. Initially, I was thinking of a laptop carrying bag, but with their prices and quality, there is no comparison. It is better to get a military-style all-in-one bag to last for years.
Very spacious bag that expands and contracts according to what you put inside, due to the adjustable straps it has.
Quality with many practical compartments but definitely not 52L. I estimate it to be around 36L compared to my previous one.
It is perfect for excursions or even 2-day getaways...quite spacious...one of the advantages is that it opens 180 degrees
Very good backpack, sturdy and wonderful, but I won't give it 5 stars because I also bought a miltec 36lt and put them side by side. They are exactly the same in volume despite this one being advertised as 52lt. As a result, now I have to buy a third backpack in order to have a smaller and a larger one, as was my initial plan. Other than that, the bag is awesome.
I got it when I was in the army to go back and forth to the unit. Inside the bag, I managed to fit a sleeping bag, fleece blanket, sheet, pillowcase, two pairs of shoes, an outfit for going out, and there was still room for small items (razors, charger, etc).
After I put them in, the bag was as shown in the photo.
In terms of construction, although I have no previous experience, it seems to be satisfactory. If there is any problem, I will update my review.
Awesome bag with plenty of space. It comfortably fits clothes, food, and a 17" laptop. It is comfortable to wear and has high-quality zippers. If you like the military style it has, then I highly recommend it.
Very good bag, beautiful, high quality and sturdy with strong seams and very good zippers, it doesn't sag, with plenty of space and many pockets.
Internally, it is slightly smaller in height than the dimensions stated, which are 51cm.
For example, the largest compartment, the back one, can fit an object up to 46cm in height.
And in the front compartment, the middle one, a 13-inch laptop fits very comfortably.
I definitely recommend it. 5 out of 5 stars from me!
Very good bag, durable and with a large storage space, I mainly use it on the days I go to work with my motorcycle, it comfortably fits a pair of boots, sweatpants, socks, underwear, jacket, the motorcycle jacket I use, a lunchbox with food, and many other small items in the two smaller front compartments. It sits comfortably on the back and the straps on the chest and lower back keep it stable. I recommend it because you get good quality, a lot of storage space at a very good price.
Very good backpack.
Many compartments in all areas with nets and pockets and zippers inside.
Hard material, it doesn't "sag" and remains nice on the back even with few things inside.
I recently purchased it for transporting gym equipment (TRX, resistance bands, weights, etc.) and it has a huge carrying space. I will likely use it for traveling as well, filled with clothes. The material seems durable, at least much better than similar Nike and Adidas bags that I have torn apart three of this year for the same use
Its capacity is very satisfactory. It is one of the largest backpacks in its category. Quality is very good.
The bag is excellent for its price, although 35€ is not exactly cheap. The construction quality is very good, although it doesn't seem to be 52lt as the description says! I hope it lasts...
The bag is wonderful, the quality is perfect, bravo tac maven AKA pentagon. Yes, the bag is pentagon, tac maven is a subsidiary of pentagon. It also has a nice design and overall it is a value for money bag BUT... The only thing that bothered me was that the bag is not 52l because I compared it to my friend's mil-tec 36l and they are identical in capacity. I don't know if it depends on the company, but I had to mention it, that's why I give it 4 stars. But overall, it is wonderful. Now time will tell, I will come back for an update
