Among the branded companies, it was one of the most economical. I got it for use in an IP camera, it says day and night. The only thing left is to see how long it will last writing continuously. I hope it lasts for years. I will try to come back with a future update.
UPDATE 6 months later, everything is going smoothly. My camera is 1080 resolution, and the speeds that the card achieves meet the camera's requirements.
Update for anyone interested: I want to inform you that it does not have FAT32 formatting, only exFAT and NTFS.
Update: we closed 2 years and continue without problems.
Update at 3.5 years, it still works
It is the second one I bought for my mobile... And both of them suddenly broke down in use, without any time passing, and I lost everything... The first time I considered it random, I bought the same one because of the brand.
Also, it significantly delays the performance of the mobile (Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 pro)
The internal camera tapo broke in 20 days and had recorded only 7 small videos. It is no longer read even in a card reader. I have now put in a sandisk high endurance one recommended by tp-link and we will see how long it lasts. Maybe for simple use on a mobile it is just fine.
It has been working perfectly for two years in a dash cam without any issues. Similarly, it has been used in Xiaomi and Eufy cameras for years without problems.
I wanted it for the GoPro3 to record 1080 but it couldn't record video because it is too slow. It is probably only for file storage.
Update for everyone regarding security cameras: these specific ones stopped working after 6 months, but for mobile phones and anything else, they are TOP.
In dash cam winter summer dog hasn't understood anything 4 years writes continuously inside the 80 degrees car
Only the small SD works. I have bought this product twice and both times the card for the camera didn't work, but maybe it's not suitable for my camera (Sony from 2010). The small one for the phone works just fine.
I installed it in a recording camera in the car in the 70Mai Pro Plus A500S-1 Car DVR Camera Set with 2" Screen WiFi, GPS for Windshield with Sticker & Rearview Camera. In two weeks it burned out on me. What a waste of my time and money because I bought two cards and it's almost certain that if I put in the other one quickly it will burn out too
I have had it for over a year and I have no complaints. The only thing that lags is that in mobile games it can freeze a lot, but overall it is very good and I would recommend it without hesitation
I used it on a Tapo camera.
Terrible product, it burned out in just 2 months of use, it cannot be formatted or configured on a computer, it is simply trash.
I have purchased other Kingston cards which have never had a problem. This particular one does not format, neither on the computer nor on the camera. Obviously a hardware failure. Also, I cannot return the SD card if the packaging has been opened...
I have had it for over a year and I have used it on three different Xiaomi phones. So far, everything is good.
I give 4 stars because I bought the card for the Tapo C100 v4 camera, but I encountered problems. When I restarted the camera, it did not recognize the card and I had to remove it and put it back in for it to work. Meanwhile, a Kingston 8GB card and a Samsung 64GB worked without any issues. Although they replaced it for me, the second card had the same problem. After 3-4 restarts, it started to connect, but there remained a general problem that I couldn't fully understand
In 3 years and without any warning signs, it stopped working and being recognized by my phone. I tried to operate it on another phone of mine. The same. Dead. I put it in a card reader on my PC. With Windows and also with Linux. The same. Just dead! The only ... positive thing I found in it was that it didn't break easily when I made it "two pieces" before throwing it away.
Edit: I note and emphasize that the card was not for write-delete tasks. It had a few videos and quite a few songs that served as company for the media.
I use two Tapo C210 cameras and I have no problems at all, they do their job just fine, recording, reading, storing perfectly so far over the course of a year.
I bought 2 cards along with the cameras, one never worked! I tried it in the other camera and in a third Tapo indoor camera that is already in the house with no results. No camera reads it.
Update 10/11/2024
The second card died 2 days ago, wasted money..
Used for storing events in TAPO C210 surveillance cameras. No issues.
SDK
Somewhat slow by today's standards but at a very low price.
I wouldn't recommend it for mission-critical use but for simple/everyday use it's fine.
I bought 3 cards of 128gb. They do their job perfectly without any glitches. Speeds are as expected.
The batch I received is defective. Barely 10MB/s in writing. I have bought the same card in the past and it reached 30. And the majority of the files I am copying are large
It became corrupt in 10 months
The use is for an outdoor camera to protect the house. It has made me come out unscathed. It costs a little more, but the recording can save unwanted actions.
I bought it to replace a 128GB microSD that came with the Powkiddy RGB20S handheld emulator I bought from China. Unfortunately, it utilizes the storage space less compared to the card it replaced, resulting in not being able to fit all the Roms on the Kingston card. So, I was forced to put the old one back, so I can't give an opinion on performance
It is the first day so I will see how it will evolve with performance, but so far it is perfect, you can see from the photos how it is from the outside. My phone is the Xiaomi Redmi A2 with 32GB capacity and 2GB RAM, so I needed it. Also, I had 2GB left and I had to delete many things from the phone to make it work better. You can also see the video where I download a game of 2.05GB and it goes relatively fast compared to before, where it would take at least 20 minutes for a game of 2.05GB to download, if you could download it at all. I believe it is a very good and cheap purchase that is worth it.
It has not presented any problem to me so far, of course I do not trust SD cards for permanent backup of important files, an external SSD would be a safer choice. I have several from this company and they have no issues, I emphasize that they are not for long-term use, even a Sandisk SD card that I had for years (it lasted quite a while, over 10) suddenly erased all the files and was not recognized by any device. It is a quick solution, the main backup is elsewhere and I use these small ones for convenience.
Price VFM. Used in a home surveillance camera. Satisfactory data transfer response and recording/reading speed. Recommended.
The fact that you cannot write on it (it has a write lock) unless you use it with its adapter (which makes it SD from micro SD), makes it completely useless for devices that only take Micro SD and not regular-sized SD cards.
I bought 4 dual-camera cards and after 2 months they broke.
I use it to backup my laptop. I have had it for a few months now and it works perfectly fine.
Unfortunately, I received a defective one which resulted in losing all my files. Although I noticed from the beginning that it had a problem, I thought it was due to the phone
It is used in an indoor surveillance camera and so far it is working fine. Time will tell if it will withstand.
