If you leave even a small area without a rug pad, the uncovered spot lifts up and becomes dangerous for tripping. Be careful because for this specific rug, the recommended Lorena Canals rug pad is small. Get a larger one and cut it exactly. It is difficult to vacuum with an electric vacuum cleaner because it is thin and lifts up. Therefore, the most convenient option is to take it out completely and shake it. However, it is lightweight. Additionally, a robot vacuum cleaner cannot be used. Furthermore, if you have an office chair near the rug, the chair cannot move on top of it. It lifts it up and you have to flatten it every now and then. To be honest, when it is not being used, it is fine. If I were to choose a children's rug again, I would buy the classic children's rug with regular pile, even if it cannot be washed in the washing machine. Not to mention the hassle of laying the rug pad and making sure the rug fits on top... I also fear that if a child runs on it, they will slip on the rug and take a fall with them... I would not buy it again...
