I have this specific mouse for about two weeks, but I changed from the alienware Aw958 due to an unfortunate incident (my dog ate it!!). At first, I snubbed it because I could say that I was afraid of wireless due to battery concerns, but I gave it a try and I dare say that I've been sleeping comfortably for so many years with fresh air on the mousepad. When I plug it in to charge, the movement with the cable seems awkward to me. As for battery life, I have to say it's impeccable. I lowered the brightness to 50% of the RGB lighting and it lasted me a week. Currently, with two days of use, it's at 78%. Let's not kid ourselves, at 100% brightness, it's too bright at night. As for problems with slight lag and disconnections that I read on Reddit, no issues so far. Also, when it's idle for 1-2 minutes, the RGB LEDs turn off and it goes into sleep mode for power saving. As for the weight, it's just right, not too light or heavy. I actually come from a heavy alienware mouse, and at first, it felt feather-like, but now I'm used to it. These are my thoughts, and I hope I helped future buyers! EDIT 09/03/22 Unfortunately, the plastic casing that the scroll wheel has for grip came off, resulting in me not being able to scroll because the wheel didn't have any resistance. I had to cut it off. The scroll wheel itself works perfectly fine, but at this price, it's unacceptable
After 3 years, I can say that it did its job for the first 2 years, but afterwards some buttons broke and it doesn't respond anymore..... Another negative aspect is the program to manage it (alienware command center). After 3 years of using this program because I have everything from Dell, I can say that it is still useless
beautiful, quality, lightweight.
what I don't like is the distance between clicks on the wheel, there is quite a distance from click to click, resulting in scrolling not being particularly smooth.
Very poor quality mouse.
No comparison to the mice that Alienware had 10 years ago, which were made by Logitech.
The mouse has been presenting problems since the first day I got it.
Sometimes the drivers didn't work properly.
Sometimes it lost its settings and I had to reset them over and over again.
Sometimes it lags for no reason.
Now the scroll wheel hasn't worked for about 3-4 months.
I really liked Alienware's products.
Now I see that the programming and manufacturing are done by some Chinese factories doing shoddy work both in programming and in manufacturing.
Find and buy another better mouse.
Purchased on 18/12/2021 from a retail store. Excellent in all aspects except for:
i) Initially and for a considerable amount of time, the battery indicator did not show a 100% charge but only reached 75%. However, the mouse pointer functioned normally. It was later fixed after a few updates of the Alienware Command Center.
ii) At some point after the first 2 years, the left button started double-clicking when I only clicked once.
iii) The scroll wheel is now almost non-functional.
The situation has become unbearable, so I bought a new one.
I find it unacceptable for this price (75€) and for the supposed quality that this particular brand is supposed to have, to have such issues, especially considering it is marketed as a gaming mouse and should be able to withstand much more. The Microsoft Arc Touch mouse that I have been using for gaming since 2011 (2011-2021) still works without almost any problems. I would not buy it again, but unfortunately, I really like the design and the quality of materials of this mouse.
I bought 2, one black and one white, and I wouldn't recommend the white one because it gets dirty easily. I bought it to match the rest of my computer, etc. but it doesn't... Black is better, besides the color, the mouse works great. Also, the program for the fancy colors is terrible, very heavy, but it is what it is
With the only negatives being that by default, after about 5 minutes, the lighting turns off and this cannot currently be changed through software, and that you have to download the Alienware Command Centre (a not-so-well-designed software) to control it, 5/5 for this mouse, because its battery lasts for over 2 weeks (with about 8 hours of use per day) and charges quickly, it is of high quality in its assembly, with adjustable dpi, wired and wireless functionality, and practical design.
Excellent mouse in all aspects. It has very good responsiveness, good battery life, and is comfortable to hold. It has three quick settings for changing cursor speed. It is beautifully designed and has the right weight, neither too light nor too heavy. The LEDs are vibrant, and the build material is of good quality plastic.
The reason I gave it four stars is because of the scroll wheel. Unfortunately, it is very important to me that the scroll wheel has an option to rotate either slowly or quickly. This particular mouse only supports slow movement, and this can be very tiring when scrolling during internet browsing.
Press very good in everything. It's just quite heavy and anatomically doesn't perfectly follow the shape of the hand, resulting in fatigue if you have to lift it.
In general, the positives that other users have described. It pleasantly surprised me when it fell from a height and neither broke nor got damaged. Most of the ones I had, when they fell down, if they didn't break, they would open in two.
I have this mouse for about a year, unfortunately, in the last month, the clicks started to squeak, specifically the right one, along with the scroll wheel which is also a bit loose and I can tell. It's a shame because I was in love with this particular one.
Very good. It makes noise on clicks but personally, it doesn't bother me. As for the weight, it is indeed a heavy mouse but it does its job. It also has its own software that allows you to change the color of the LEDs. I didn't expect Dell to be such a good brand, but I can confidently say that it is a good mouse that will likely last over time. Edit: the software now doesn't recognize the mouse, but I think it has to do with the USB hub I have
It's just a perfect mouse, I have no words to say, I have changed mice for mice, but this one is top, I also have the monitor and the keyboard, and now I'm going for the headphones, all Alienware Tpp
Very accurate mouse. Sturdy, responsive, and beautiful. The price is a bit steep but if someone wants it and is willing to spend a little extra, it's worth it
