Within the 2-year warranty period, it had to go to the service center 2 times. 3 months after the warranty expired, it broke again. It was used once or twice weekly. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!
The review concerns the exact same machine (design and features), but with the name SilverCrest. User-friendly, beautiful device with very good quality of the final result. However, it does not have great durability: In both devices that I purchased, after a not long period of use, one of the two belts (the longer one) broke (manufacturing error). I opened them, removed it, and now both devices are functioning (one mixer in each + human hand...). I should also note that reassembly is difficult, as accessing 3 main screws is not easy, as they are all cramped to achieve the nice oval shape of the casing... I am attaching photos.
The user manual is in English/German, while the recipes are only in German.
I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me recipes in English for another bread maker.
In the end, I experimented and found a way to make bread with corn flour, but not in the automatic mode.
I have been using bread makers since they became widely available in Greece, for about 20 years. I have changed around 4 devices, 3 of which were branded and expensive for their time of purchase, and 1 from a well-known supermarket chain. I make bread at least twice a week, always in large quantities. The last one I had was a Delonghi and it lasted me about 8 years, with one change of the bowl and paddles in between. I was very satisfied, but recently the supports of the paddles became loose and the belt (which is toothed) started slipping, causing the machine to not work properly and make a loud noise. Unfortunately, the technician who saw it told me that he couldn't find spare parts for the repair.
So, I ended up choosing this specific device because I believe that the programs it offers are already more than enough - I won't even use them all, but also because its cost is within the average range of similar devices for household use. It has a small but sturdy construction, and I am already using it without any problems. I hope it lasts me. As for the quality of the bread, I think that if you have found the measurements that satisfy you for the bread you want, most devices achieve everything else (mixing and baking). Personally, I didn't read the recommended recipes at all, but I follow the ones I have known for years and they satisfy me (whole wheat bread with soft flour). Therefore, durability is the most important thing for me, something I will find out in the long run. As for the negatives, I could mention: a) The Teflon coating of the bowl and paddles, which, as always happens with long-term use, no matter how good the quality is, will eventually wear off and end up in our bread, and b) The placement of the bowl in the machine is not accompanied by a click, to ensure that it is placed correctly.
