In this present Volume V - which is published with the blessing of our Shepherd, His Eminence Metropolitan of Kassandreia, Mr. Nikodimos - the Elder's words regarding passions and virtues are included. These words do not constitute systematic teaching nor do they extensively refer to all passions and virtues. They have been compiled from the Elder's answers to our questions related to the diagnosis and treatment of passions, as well as the practice of virtue. These answers are of interest not only to monks but also to anyone who has "the good concern" for the cultivation of virtue.
