Description

In the era of rapid advancement of new technologies that we live in, where everything is now done with "unnatural" ease, it is expected that children become addicted to this ease, become complacent, and rarely use their minds. Therefore, engaging in an activity such as music, which stimulates the mind and emotions and whose result is purely their own creation, is perhaps the best way out of the intellectual and emotional stagnation that threatens them. The innate need of humans to express themselves on various levels is best satisfied through learning a musical instrument. Just think about how much more beneficial it is for a child's intellectual development to produce a note by striking a string than by pressing a key on a computer or remote control. Dozens of scientific studies have shown that children who learn a musical instrument have a higher intelligence quotient and almost zero delinquency compared to their peers. This book aspires to be an ideal introduction to the world of music and especially the guitar for young children.

Starting a child on the violin or cello from the age of five is not only appropriate but necessary, especially since these instruments grow with the child, enlarging according to their development. With the guitar, things were different (until a few years ago). Children would reach the age of 10-12 years before starting to learn it. Today, this is no longer the case; it is now very natural for a six-year-old child to want to play the guitar. To meet this need, "Little Recital" was created. It is aimed at preschool and elementary school children.

"Little Recital" is not a "guitar method" but was created with the intention of guiding the child's first steps without insulting their intelligence. It contains well-known and unknown melodies and songs, crafted in such a way and placed in such an order that each one adds a new element concerning notes, values, rhythms, fingers, etc. Thus, by completing these 62 "lessons," the child will have a complete picture of the guitar and its technique to some extent.

Alongside "Little Recital," there is also an independent edition of "Little Recital for Two Guitars" so that the young student can play these pieces with their teacher in duet form.
