September 1943. The first flames of the Civil War engulf the country. Under mysterious circumstances, the six-year-old daughter of a high-ranking German diplomat and the five-year-old son of his Greek maid disappear. Athens is shaken by the double abduction. Police Lieutenant Nikos Agrafiotis, who has returned to Greece with a new identity and a shattered life, undertakes a mission that will largely determine the course of Allied operations in the Mediterranean. However, his plans will be dramatically overturned as he is forced to infiltrate the depths of the Special Security to dismantle networks of traitors and solve the case of the children's abduction. With the help of a woman, Agrafiotis will connect with secret patriotic organizations in Athens, wander through the mountains of the Civil War, and attempt to remain unscathed in the "nest of evil" to save human lives without losing his soul.
